New Battlestar Galactica is a "Punch to the Gut" for Tricia Helfer

BSG was definitely one of the best science fiction series of all time, but it also had one major downside. It tore Stargate to pieces. The attempt to copy BSG in SGU failed miserably.

There is nothing good that would come out of a reboot.

I am way overdue a rewatch of Galactica.. such a brilliant series and so many solid, superb performances that really put the cast on my radar. Love Tricia, she's great (I think her turn as EDI in Mass Effect might be my favourite thing she's done!)

I loved the ending of the reimagined series. Watched it with my dad - who watched the original series - and honestly, every night a new episode aired was almost a religious experience for me personally. I wanted more, but the ending felt very full circle and I was happy with it.

I think it is too soon for a remake. Films or series’ should be left alone for at least 20-25 years IMO.

You can never duplicate BSG it was beyond an epic story line. The cast was beyond epic.

I read somewhere that when Starbucks was “killed off” no one of the actors new about it, except Katee, Edward James olmos and other actors confronted the director about it because they were so displeased to the point where he had to tell some of them. This show really was one of a kind. Beautiful

I will never understand the praise this show gets, boring melodrama, meandering plot, unlikable characters, so many better sifi out their.

Oh good, now maybe she knows a little what it felt like to the fans when she replaced Glynnis Talken Campbell in Starcraft 2 and FUCKED IT ALL UP.

The ending of the ORIGINAL Battlestar Galactica(1979) was AMAZING.

Wow is Tricia impressive!

The ending didn't make sense at all logistically, but it doesn't matter that much. It was so emotionally compelling and such a satisfying, bittersweet wrap-up of every character's arc that I don't mind the number of cosmic coincidences and logical hoops the story takes to get us there. I shed tears during the finale, so they definitely did something right. "I know about farming" gets me every time.

And your Battlestar Galactica was a punch to the gut to the original Battlestar Galactica. So shut up

Ain’t gonna lie, love me some Helfer. She has a good energy. Her video’s of hanging out with Katee are quite fun. She’s actually on my arm as a bride of Dracula..lol

Ones of those shows that made you feel like you lived thru that life. I felt like I lost a part of me when it ended. Show got you emotional invested.

They need to make new adventures and not remake the fall of the colonies again. It's been done well now let's have new ideas

Tricia Hafal did a real good acting job being the strongest character in my opinion. Watching her destroy the colonies and not bat an eye so cold so powerful,,,,wow gave me chills and other powerful parts like her being captured by the Pegasus crew and them torchered her character to the point she didn't want revived in another body with those memories. No longer a cylon after this but human.....

She should have kept the bombshell hair style.

Miss the story and music BSG brought. So many stories to be able to bring it back.

I appreciate the reminder of Richard Hatch being in Tricia's BG. Zarek was a tremendous character, brilliantly acted. Sure showed that he wasn't a campy '70s sci-melodrama actor (nothing but love for original BG, but it was a '70s style show). Anyway, he was truly legit, and I appreciated his zeal for continuing the original.

Tricia's porttrayal of the model 6 and all the different versions and colours of that character, were definitely a highpoint and were core to the shows identity.
Not to mention her captivating beauty, which she stil posesses to this very day. I think the final scene showing the Baltar and Six 'Angels' paid great homage to them as the iconic mascots of the series. One represnting humans and the other the Cylons.

I just finished rewatching all 4.5 seasons of BG. It's still so good. I can't imagine a remake being as good.

I just loved Tricia's work in BSG. She had such a huge range, playing so many versions of 6. And she did it with such subtle acting choices, bringing each version to life in a different way. What a talented actor.

I am assuming that the new show will introduce Trans non binary drag queens who are great at sport, but suck at make-up and run around the Galaxy exterminating the dreaded TURFS.

If there's no Lorne Greene and no Dirk Benedict, it ain't Battlestar Galactica.

What didn't make sense to me was the ships being sent into the sun... The explosions plus the nukes on Galactica could have caused solar flares that could have harmed the planet. Plus, the colons became more human in nature. They could come back to kill them again. Now they are defenseless.

Why did Adama have to say goodbye to Apollo? Like he was going to die too?? He wasn't. Roslin was going to die. So that didn't make sense to me.

Starbuck, she disappeared. So ghosts are real? Angel are real? I would have liked more explanation to that.

This was 3 years ago and they haven't advanced anything on a BSG reboot movie or series. It doesn't look like it'll happen anytime soon.

It the first one was not made, she would not be as known as she is now. If they make another one please have a better ending.

Battlestar Galactica is my favorite TV series of all time. Period. Superb writing. Incredible cast. I doubt that a reboot will even come close. If it didn't sweep the Emmys when it was broadcast--well, it should have. Don't mess with perfection by trying to duplicate it with another reboot. Just my two cents worth. Cheers.

Battlestar Galactica is perfect - for get the remake.

My boyfriend and I just finished watching all 4 seasons of BSG in 2023... My second time and my bf's first time.... was an amazing ride and picked up so much more. This type of Sci-Fi was delivered so well because it had a down to earth and gritty feel and the technology in the story is so believable.

BSG is probably my favorite series ever. It was so intelligent and soooooooo deep. Helfer was phenomenal.
