There must be a reason but why not have different cylinders with different power and torque characteristics? It would give the engine a greater power spread surely?
It has been unintentionally done for years with one carburettor feeding 4 or even 6 or 8 cylinders with runners of greater length for cylinders farthest from the carburettor.
I have a Mk4 VW Jetta GLI (First owner) and a 2013 Porsche 991.1 C2S. Both manuals. Both are a lot of fun!
Ответитьnothing like the sound of a vr
Ответитьwhat angle should I adjust during grinding the sylinders
Ответитьive NEVER understood the argument that an inline 6 engine is too long. that give you an incredible amount of space for efficient intake/exhaust/forced induction opportunities while leaving massive amounts of space for all extra support systems such as ac/brakes/electrical systems/EV additions. next issue is they say the crank cant handle the power because of torsional failures and thats why v6's are stronger. 90's inline 6 crank could usually handle upwards of around 550hp. engineering and metallurgy has came a long way which they could easily increase that but then you have a car with quarter mile of probably high elevens for a "daily driver".
ОтветитьGarbage for high hp😂
ОтветитьVr6 12v ftw😢
ОтветитьAbsolutely love my Passat GT with VR6. Added cold air induction kit and it added a few hp and it roars!
ОтветитьI think that video is exact place to tell about W engine, witch its just VR but with more angle opened. Its just double V like.
ОтветитьLooks like a pain in the ass to work on
ОтветитьPut 2 VR-6's together and you'll have a W-12
Ответитьi love the sound and peformance of my 2007 VW R32 with its VR6, amazing stock standard 4x4 car, cant beat it on my local roads over mountain..
ОтветитьFor me vr6 sounds best
ОтветитьJust sending out a thankz ,,,
love your work ...
I'm always watching !!!
D ...
Why not go with a VR12
ОтветитьI owned a 2010 Golf with the 2.5 VR5 and it was incredible. Zero issues ever and it went through Buffalo, NY winters. I have a 24v VR6 GTI now and it’s been just as reliable.
Ответитьive seen 1 listing of a vr5 engine, i knew it was super rare but it was such bad shape... my dream is a passat 2010 vr6. i love the passat, and to have a vr6 one would be great. sadly there arent many here in norway. and importing one is super expensive.
ОтветитьNarrow v makes it impossible for multi valve head so power output and economy will not be as good as 60deg v6.
ОтветитьIt sounds like chewbacca , simples
ОтветитьIt is also in the mk1 audi tts, and possibly the mk2 as well I cannot remember. I have an 04 mk1 audi tt quattro and it is so much fun, I like the 3.2 vr6 over the 1.8 any day.
ОтветитьBeen driving Volkwagen since 1989 and the R32 has become my favorite. My first was a mk1 GTI and I can still remember that car surprised a LOT of people off the line, or rolling down the highway. My Mk5 R32 gets much more of the same reaction. The VR6 engine paired up with a DSG is just an absolute kick in the pants to drive. It's insane what output you can get from a VR6 with any level of modification, and yes, the wookie sound is quite iconic.
ОтветитьTa ještěrka 🤣👍👍 zdravím👋😊
ОтветитьI had a ‘97 GTI VR6 and it flew!
Ответитьwhat do you mean by regular octane fuel?
ОтветитьIs the v-6 in the atlas a vr6?
Ответитьgood job man! Yeah that immobilzer would of been horrible to have to do all that work and that be the issue !! awesome job man
ОтветитьDon't worry my 2021.5 Atlas is carrying the flag with a VR6 and modified exhuast. She sounds like a dream (actually a wookiee nightmare!)....
ОтветитьVr6 best sounds ever
ОтветитьTypical VW. Copy everything other manufactures used decades ago.
ОтветитьNothing
Literally nothing about it is special
Vr6 cc💣💥💣💥💣
ОтветитьI had a mk3 Jetta that we dropped a VR6 in and it sounded ungodly! I still have the car but it has a smaller engine in it now. :(
ОтветитьChewbacca growl
ОтветитьAppia have the narrov V angle - 10°14’, Fulvia has 12°53’28” ; good video!
ОтветитьThe motorbike sounds incredible
ОтветитьVolkswagen touareg have a vr6 engine or no ?
ОтветитьYour thumbnail at the beginning mislabeled the cylinder designations. The back row is for the odd number cylinders (1,3,5) and the front row is for the even numbered cylinders(2,4,6).
ОтветитьWhich is the best vr6 engine?
ОтветитьI love how versatile this engine is too. It can be put in a little hatchback or my big Atlas and run exceptionally well, sound great, and have good reliability.
Ответить3.2 VR6 in my Audi TT is my favourite noise
ОтветитьWow awesome history! I didn't know all of the different versions of the vr6 and how many vehicles actually used it. It is one of my top 3 favorite engines.
ОтветитьIs this Borats Brother Talking?🤔
ОтветитьThe VR6 is a such a bad engine design.
No wonder VW stopped making it and no other car manufacturer adopted this designer
Just a heads up, the 2.8 has an 81mm bore.
ОтветитьHad the 04 r32. Loved it love any thing vr6
ОтветитьMathematically,cant be optimal.
Nice try;failure.
Give me V6.
What about the Ford V4 that was manufactured in their factory in Germany? Saab used em as well as English car manufacturers I believe, didn't this motor predate those mentioned in this vid? I could be mistaken, of course, im just asking to ask is all....
ОтветитьSo miss my excellent car that even made it into the Euro tuner magazine in the late 90s. I had MK4 Rave Green 2.8L VR6 excellent, manual shift, lowered, heated and leather seats, new headers, cold air intake, full exhaust, 18in BBS rims, carbon fiber hood glass HID headlights leather interior much more more just magazine talk lol. Euro tuned up batch's, shaded black back taillights. My challenge is only the nice R32 3.2L VR's in races. ✌️
ОтветитьGermans love stealing Italian designs as their own.
ОтветитьHad a 2000 GTI VR6, got it chipped for 2 step and gosh damn that thing sounded crazy. Hands down best sounding engine I've ever heard. Miss that car but was too expensive to fix.
Ответить
