I played grade school baseball against George Brett’s son twice a year and George Brett was one of the coaches. Got to shake his hand twice a year after each game. Kinda cool

George got the last laugh, because the call was later overturned and the Royals ended up winning the game.

this is one of the weirdest ways to end a ball game in the history of the MLB, while the away team scored a home run taking the lead with the home team only to score one more out, and all they had to do is out the person with a ground ball and throw it to first or second, or catch the ball or strike out the batter, that's the only way the home team could win, they did none of that, it ended with a home run only for the umps to out the batter that scored a home run, and when you add all those ingredients up, this right here all happening at the same time will never be replicated again in the history of Baseball, that's Crazy.

I think it says a lot about baseball that an incident which ended up taking a month and some court dates to sort out ended up happening between two teams that didn’t even make the post season. True petty kings.
