Saw him at the last Atlantic Folk Festival @Moxom Farms ...outside halifax. Don Maclean was the headliner....he closed the show..was younger then...What a weekend embedded in my memory .Those were the days..

I saw this man in Brisbane in 1973, great concert, loved when he broke a string and sang a ditty while he put in a new one. He is not the same ... but I think just as good. An artist of heart & sole that come out in his songs.

This Song is a legend. First time I heard this Song in 1980 (I was 18 years old). I fell in love with the Lyrics and the melody (accoustic Guitar and Cello). Up to now, I still love this song, and I used to play guitar or keyboard singing this sad song.

On 9-2-2023, Don McLean was at Brown Family Amphitheatre. I felt it was an awesome show! He is still an excellent singer and performer. He had an awesome band, too!
