There's another matter of the French Canadians outside of Quebec. Regulation 17 was something major that was still in law at the time, even if it wasn't as enforced as it was in WW1, because the threat of a Civil War right after WW1 would have caused a lot of trouble for Canada and the British Empire.

I think, in this timeline, the US would have remained isolationist and tried to maintain good relations with the fascists(US could even become fascist itself). Seeing that fascist France is right in the north, Nazi Germany is just 1 strait away from Alaska and the military capabilities of the fascists, I don't think the US would have dared to mess with the fascists, atleast not for the time being.

In all honesty, I think Germany would want South Africa due to all the South African Dutch living there. Also, the position is strategic.

Just a minor nitpick, but I'm pretty sure it was the British who scuttled the French Navy so that the Germans wouldn't get it. I don't think it was the French scuttling the French navy to prevent the Germans from getting it.

I've only recently discovered your channel, love the content! The what if i suggest is for Japan, by and large Japan could have gone down a different path becoming a champion of "Asia is for the Asians" for self determination and anti colonialism.

This is embodied in the Japanese democratic path in base hoi4.

So i'd love to see what if Japan took the mantle of Pacific guardian and lead the path of self determination in asia

One little nitpick. France would most likely not occupied the flanders region of belgium, but only the walloon part. This would be because it would not only be far easier to occuppy, but also because the german view of flanders would have resulted in serious german pressure to either hand flanders to german control or leave it as it was.

I think an interesting one would be what if Mosley & the British Union Of Fascists actually took over the UK?

German tanks in the beginning of the war had radios, or at least the commanding tank had a one-way radio to all the tanks in the platoon, while the French were still using signal flags for most of their armored forces. This along with the fact that the Germans tried their best to put themselves into a situation where several of their own tanks would only face 1 or 2 French tanks, along with the Panzer 1 and 2's superior speed, it made it easy to flank and confuse the enemy tanks. It's quite a genius tactic, like bees swarming a wasp.

One of my favourite playthroughs comes from a what if scenario... that being "what if German democracy opposed a certain moustachioed a-hole". After a very brief civil war, which was surprisingly easily, Germany ended up forming NATO with Russia, USA & France against Great Britain. Italy tried it's luck against a reformed Germany at its height with their allies... however their luck was very short lived.
