In my opinion, all versions of Office from 2003 to 2013 were great.

Could you please tell me the version of office 2016 used and when was it released? I want to collect old software from 2016 to 2018 and many times I download I get 2015 version instead of office 2016 to 2018.

I personally use Microsoft Office 2007 with a Toshiba Satellite running Windows 10. Works the best in my opinion.

I am still using Office 2013 and yeah just like 2010 ones you can use it even you don't pay Microsoft

There's a pattern... at the beginning each release has real and useful improvements, then it peaks (in this case Office 2007-2010, IMO) and then they just change things for the sake of change. Capitalist economies need to keep things churning or it the economy collapse.

During High school (2018) the school desktop computers were on Windows 7 with Office 2010 on the server drive. We used office 2010 all the time, and to the point where now it is nostalgic to me and I am searching for a way to have office 2010 on windows 11! LOL

the thing that I like about office 2010 is the fact that the applications adapts to windows 7 aero but for some reason not to windows vista aero. but then microsoft adapts to metro style since 2013, and that's where everything becomes bland and boring.

Well done, but you forgot Word for Windows 1.1. I started with I believe Word 4 from 1987 (DOS version).

For the theme that has the status bar & button highlighting is the color of the app's icon (Blue, Green, Red), the White theme still exists in Office 2021. I have the "Try the new experience" feature disabled in the Coming Soon page to mimic the look of Office 2013 because with the feature enabled, the status bar became white.

After seeing this very good video I realize that best version for me is Office 2007. I will downgrade from Office 2019 to Office 2007.

I am not a computer expert. A few months ago, I updated Microsoft office from 2016 to 2019. And I could use it for a month, but now, I don't know if it automatically restricted me from using, I can't do any changes to my documents that I created before updating. I can enter the application, but I can't type, delete, add shapes and animations. I can do nothing, everything in the Ribbon just turn to white, grey. What should I do? I don't have much knowledge about computers. If you know, please leave a reply. That would be really helpful to me.

In other words, you can use 20 year old versions of Office and not really be missing out on anything except for small quality of life improvements and supporting new file types. I think Microsoft understood this so they turned it into a subscription service to prevent people from just using old versions forever.
