for anyone who is having the "error import file", just save the file as sketchup 2013 and in rhino you will be able to import without problems

I have some issues importing blocks from both Revit and Sketchup into Rhino7 - especially when dealing with big architectural models where you typically have a lot of different blocks. For instance if you have a facade of a building and say you have 6 different block families in Sketchup or Revit, it is essential that those families are NOT split up into smaller groups when importing them into Rhino7 but unfortunately that is exactly what seems to be the case.

If you can solve that I might just be able to finally convince my company to fully convert from Sketchup to Rhino :)

Is Rhino not suitable for modeling those same objects that you have to build them in Sketchup?
