Super Saiyan 3 Is Useless #shorts

Just to clarify:

SS3 not getting wins isn’t my only reason for thinking the form is pretty useless. I just thought it was a good way to get the general idea across in a short format. There’s also the massive stamina problems that prevent it from being used to its full potential in the living world. Then there is also the fact that in the manga continuity Trunks proved that SS2 has potential to surpass SS3 if trained properly.

Despite the form’s flaws I do like it. If you take the movies and GT into account it has a ton of great moments. I just think it fell flat in canon. I hope in the coming years we get some respect put on SS3, maybe Gotenks can master it to negate the stamina problems and prove how useful it can be if trained.

Its not useless

It’s only been made useless by the god forms and god ki it was very much the peak of the forms without the mastery of the others imagine he trained and actually used it the way he used ss1 in the cell saga

I tend to agree its about as useless as special beam Cannon. ss3 uses an insane amount of stamina draw so unless you could beat ss2 level enemy in time ss3 is useless its best for fights where he is just a little stronger then the main in ss2 because it runs out of gas so fast. there really is no reason for Vegeta to learn it or use it or any other Saiyan other than goku and kids because to use it. it leaves you wide open to attack witch could be a one hit k.o. goku makes his enemies think there's no way he's going to kill him so he can use it and kids get underestimated all the time. special beam Cannon same thing but way longer wind up time. means you need a tactical fighter. these things are what makes a story coherent and change it from the power of friendship compels you

Didnt getting a W doesnt mean is useless

To be fair, Goku could have probably finished Fat Buu if he REALLY wanted too. He intentionally gives his family chances to be the hero over him. Like how he did with Gohan vs. Cell. He wanted to give Gotenks a shot at defeating Buu because he knew that he still didnt belong on Earth. He also helped Gohan reach mystic form in the land of the Kais.

And he most definitely could have finished Majin Vegeta with it.

Oh, and Gotenks loosing to Super Buu was mostly on them being overly cocky and inexperienced. The SSJ 3 form itself was extremely powerful and doing pretty well.

Ss3 goku from DBGT is stronger than envy version of Boo and he is alot stronger than ss1 Gogeta and Vegito

You are compering ss3 to characters that are laot stronger than ss3 instead of enemies that are apocimated to Ss3 Goku's power level.

Goku could've had killed fat Boo but he wanted the kids to do the job as they would be the next ones to protect the world

Ss3 is not a unless transformation but it has disadvantages. And if you compare ss3 goku to kid Boo, Goku is as strong as kid Boo but Gokus energy is drained witch is the opposed of kid Boo

Didn't goku hold back against fat boo because he wanted to let the next generation (goten and trunks) handle this? Since he was dead and wouldn't be around to protect Earth and all. Idk I swear I saw this information somewhere.

Either way I think that if he'd worked around the stamina drain the same way he did in cell saga with ssj1, this transformation may had been more useful, but then ssg and ssgss came and it wasn't worth it anymore...

I will say that it did get a W on the Wrath of the Dragon Movie, but that was only it, as far as I can remember.

it's not draining stamina.. the author said it's draining cost and time to draw the details that's why they make excuses such draining stamina and useless..😂

It really depends on the opponent. If the opponent is stronger than his SSJ2 but not his SSJ3 then Goku can use it to defeat his opponent but he'd have to be quick about it. But if his opponent is as strong or stronger than his SSJ3 then its basically useless it'd only be good to buy more time.

I don't think ot was a useless power up. The anime served is shaping a generation of die hard fans looking for inspiration and I believe that the transformation is used to show that so long as you worked hard enough and were confident in your self then there were endless opportunities for improvement and who better than goku to get that point across.

Even with its drawbacks i am extremely bias to this form growing up cause it has some of the hippest scene and my childhood self loved it so much i bought alot of figures of it also it looks awesome

It's so useless even Vegeta won't use it... for the same reason he wouldn't use Grade 3 in the Cell Arc.

Frankly, anyone who thinks that Vegeta hasn't figured out how to use it is stupid. He witnessed the flaws in person while watching Goku against Buu, so he knows how useless it is.

Isn't the reason the stamina problem is extremely severe for Super Saiyan 3 is because it wasn't properly mastered in the land of the living? Goku achieved that form in the afterlife, which made him attuned with the transformation in his ghost-like physical body in the afterlife. Goten and Trunks never naturally achieved the transformation, which might be a factor for why it burns through Gotenk's time limit.

If the form was properly mastered in the land of the living, the stamina problems might've been severely reduced like the mastery of the regular Super Saiyan transformation, while allowing the user to unleash Super Saiyan 3's true potential.

Its really hard to control. Thats why it sucks. The long hair is the reason it didn't last long

how is ssj3 useless if it basically oneshots ssj2? Even ssj2 wasted more stamina than ssj1 that's just the nature of ssj stages. the higher you go the more power you get the more you drain. Just because he never got a "W" with the form doesn't mean it's "useless" it's kind of a stretch calling a form that allows you to oneshot ur ssj2 form with 1-2 punches useless just because it drains a bit more stamina xD

It would have been awesome to see Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta.

It's only useless because it's not the true Super Saiyan 2. SSJ with sparks was supposed to be Super Saiyan Rage, not a form in itself.

SSJ2 Trunks being strong as SSJ3 Goku is some real Super bullshit: SSJ2 multiplies the user's power level by 100 times, while SSJ3 does the same, but times 400.
By that logic, Trunks should not only have roughly the same power level as Goku (which is already pretty hard to justify since the latter already trained with Beerus during the Goku Black arc), but he would also be able to multiply his SSJ2 combat level by four times just because he was swinging his sword angrily.

The same could be argued with Super Sayain Blue

Super Saiyan 3 seemed similar to Kaioken in that they're both abilities that offered a big upside in power but came at significant costs in terms of stamina. If it could be used similarly to how you could cycle between God and Blue in the super manga to conserve energy where possible, it'd be a pretty neat idea, though the hair makes the idea seem a bit laughable.

And some enemies just need the additional multiplier to have any chance against.

You didn't mention the MAIN DRAWBACK&ISSUES OF IT.

SSJ3 is Powerful but the trade off is that. It drains a Hella alot of STAMINA and ENERGY. Making it useless.

Yeah, obviously they lost. ss3 is like Kaio-Ken, fast boost of power that You need to blitz the enemy with. Buu couldn't be blitzed because He regenerated from everything and Beerus was just so far beyond that it didn't make a difference. The fact that sayians like fighting, so why woud they cut it short, makes it just unsuited for them

It's the only Super Saiyan form where he actually transforms literally every other transformation changes nothing but his hairstyle and aura to be honest it annoys me

True....but you can't deny that it had the most memorable intro into the Dragon Ball series. Nothing even comes close. I'd follow up with Gohan turning SSJ2 for the first time.
