This movie was awful, that being said this scene is hands down the best in the saga. I will give it that, makes me cry every got damn time.
ОтветитьI knew it I KNEW THERE WAS STILL LIGHT IN HIM I KEPT SAYING IF VADER COULD BE REDEEMED HE CAN TOO
ОтветитьI almost fell to the dark side
ОтветитьThis seen ALMOST fixes the movie. Or at least Hans character arc.
ОтветитьA message to people that don’t like this movie: would you prefer Pokemon movies instead?
ОтветитьWhy did they have to waste such fantastic actors and characters on JJ's dogass writing.
ОтветитьI have my problems with the sequels but Kylo/Ben is the furthest from all of them.
ОтветитьInstead of throwing the lightsaber he could just take the kyber crystal out and throw/destory it my opinion thank you
ОтветитьKylo ren allucinating🤣
Ответить"I have no f**king idea what a force ghost is, and I don't care."
- Harrison Ford
Him essentially reliving this pivotal moment in his life and finally making the right choice is beautiful.
ОтветитьI really like the interpretation this isn’t a Force ghost, it’s a memory going through reinterpretation.
ОтветитьThis scene is good, very good.
But honestly, I couldn't really see it at the movies, because I was SO angered that they didn't bring the only person that should actually spin some sense in Ben's head and still make sense, since he is alive (through the force)... Which is Anakin, the person he so much worshipped. They "fixed" it by bringing Hayden to talk to Ahsoka, which made much more sense as well. But I'm sorry, I just didn't understand Han Solo there, he isn't a force presence, he isn't even a force user... A "memory"? Oh come on... Anyway. Not a bad scene at all, just... Out of place, imo.
In that moment. The Grandson of Anakin Skywalker, Son of Han and Leia chose to the Light
ОтветитьRey healed Ben's face scar and Han just put his thumb on the spot.
ОтветитьThe sequel trilogy was atrocious from start to finish and this scene is no exception
It’s not Han Solo communicating with Ben: if it was it would’ve actually been an amazing twist. Han Solo was introduced as a skeptic as well as a rogue and with that his story is about his redemption and finding a higher cause. After his experiences it would be more than appropriate if he became more reverent of the Force itself; TFA implies that he at least believes.
Becoming a force spirit begins with a selfless act essentially: perhaps Han embracing the Force carried out its will by accepting his fate. In the Cline Wars this existence is labeled as a gift and with that this “gift” could be the means of Han truly saving his son
Throughout the trilogy we just see his work totally undone: the empire rises again if it was ever defeated, his marriage falls apart and his own son is now the new Darth Vader. He doesn’t even to die heroically nor does he have any positive influence on Ben. He really has no influence on Ben one way or the other: you could argue otherwise bringing up this scene but the truth is it was all Rey’s active influence and perhaps a slight passive one from Leia. Rey is the one who truly got through to him and provided support and Rey was the one who healed him. Of course Leia died calling out to him but again that overshadowed by Rey.
By this point Ben is having second thoughts about offing his father but that only makes his death worse especially as the scene lossley recreates it. If only a pretty girl held his hand earlier, a pretty girl that provided the support that Luke nor Leia nor Han ever could. It just confirms Hans insignificance and now he’s “just a memory”
Bottom line : Han had nothing to do with Ben’s redemption and this hallucination just doesn’t confirm otherwise. Han did not offer his forgiveness and summoning a hallucination to forgive himself just makes Ben out to be more narcissistic
even tho the movie was ass this scene was beautifully done
ОтветитьOne of the darkest scenes in Star Wars.
ОтветитьThis is honestly one of my favorite scenes in the entire franchise even tho I hate this movie
ОтветитьThat scene in TFA set this up beautiful. Han says that Luke is a Jedi and couldn't get through to him. Leia says you're his father. What a beautiful payoff.
ОтветитьAll these years it just never hit me, when Ben says "Dad..." and Han replies with just "I know", that reference finally hit me.
ОтветитьStill doesnt make up for killing his dad in cold blood and countless others
ОтветитьAdam Driver is such a phenomonal actor. From this to sketches he does in SNL he always brings his A game.
ОтветитьThis is so bad lmao
ОтветитьBen Solo isn't dead Kylo Ren is dead
ОтветитьYou know a movie is rushed when they didn’t even brother to shave or give Harrison Ford a haircut.
ОтветитьWhat a throw!
ОтветитьAfter this scene, Ben doesn’t utter another word (besides a weak “ow”).
ОтветитьI love how the community on a whole seems to trash on these movies (rightfully so) except for this scene right here. The acting, the reason, the guilt kylo has. Similar to why vader never sought redemption, it was to late, he felt he couldn't go back, not after what hed done. The symmetry between kylos first 'i know what i have to do but i dont know if i have the strength to do it' and this one is meaningful and shows atleast one character in this plot hole ridden gargle fart of a series had slme narrative value
ОтветитьIf you think about it, Ben saying “No, your son is dead.” is basically mirroring Anakin telling Obi-Wan “Anakin is gone…I am what remains”
ОтветитьReminds me if how it feels repenting and going to confession
ОтветитьTerrible movie... spectacular scene!
ОтветитьIn Attack of the Clones,
It’s Anakin not getting to hear his mother finish saying she loves him,
That sends him over to the dark.
Here, it’s Han not allowing Ben Solo to say it, that Ben Solo returns to the light.
The saga beginning with a Skywalker going to the darkside, trying to save love from death.
Ending with a Skywalker being redeemed,
Knowing the love he threw away,
Was always there.
I love hayden sure but Adam Driver as Kylo Ren is what Anakin Skywaker should have been.
ОтветитьI always assumed it was Dad… (I’m sorry)… I know
ОтветитьDad....(I love you)...i know
ОтветитьOne of the best scenes in the entire saga
ОтветитьDid they have an actual relationship?
ОтветитьOne of the best scenes from the sequels. Gotta give Disney credit where its due. I can only imagine this scene hits so much harder with viewers whose fathers passed away
Ответить"I know". Both had a hard saying i love you.. Empire reference
ОтветитьIt would have been so amazing to see him turn to the light. And make him live so adam can return as ben solo. And become a teacher to the new jedi order. He would have been amazing in ghis role. And, it would have opened a whole new kylo story.
ОтветитьWho else here cried?
ОтветитьPeople have to remember that the sequel trilogy truly is more about Ben Solo than it is Rey. It’s too bad the writers couldn’t have gone a little bit deeper with his character and motivations.
ОтветитьIf rey died instead of Ben I think the fans would have been happier
ОтветитьI wish the story centered more on Ben Solo and his struggle being between the dark and light.
Being challenged, confronted and maybe even succumbing to the dark but remembering the light that was in him and ending up somewhere in between.
Such a great scene in an otherwise turd of a film
Ответить"I know"
ОтветитьWhat could have been…….
Ответить"You're just a memory."
"Your memory."
That's what I love about this scene. The trilogy is about characters trying to bring Ben Solo back to the light. First it's Han in TFA, then it's Rey in TLJ, and Leia in ROS (her last act is trying to save her son). Everybody is willing to forgive Kylo except for himself. Finally, after being stripped bare, brought to the edge of death only to be pulled back by another one last time, Ben finds it in himself to accept that his life is worth saving.
I do love this scene.
