Hi Ben, I'd be keen to understand more how you use audience exclusions alongside with your CBO strategy. Watching your CBO strategy videos I noticed you didn't exclude any custom audiences during the set up. However whenever I use a similar set up I would always exclude anyone targeted by a remarketing lists completely from all Interest and Lookalike targeting ad sets. I'm curious about whether you would do or recommend similar.

Thank you for the information! Is there a way to have Facebook exclude anyone that just signed up or bought through your ad? Other than re-uploading a new customer list, is there some automated way to do that so you don't target them after they've bought?

Hi mate, is there any problem with ad overlap? I'm running an ad for a local service, adset1 targets everyone in the location, adset2 - targets a lookalike of the audience in that location. Do you think theres any problem with overlapping here ?

Say i have an app campaign with hyperlocal targeting. Now I want to get new installers and want them to perform certain in-app actions. if I exclude people who have already installed, will it exclude new installers from that particular campaign as well? I might want to advertise to them again since they might not have performed my desired in-app action.

Quick question for you: If I set up 2 different Ad Sets, each targeting a different interest -- would you recommend I exclude the other interest from the other ad set so there is no overlap? For example, let's say I'm targeting Trip Advisor in one ad set and Expedia in another ad set. There may be some overlap in the audiences since they are both travel brands. Will I be competing against myself if I don't exclude Expedia from the Trip Advisor Ad Set and vice versa? But also -- If I exclude the audiences from the other -- I would never reach the people who are in both interest groups and wouldn't those people be even more qualified because they fall into both interest groups?

Nice tutorial! How do i restrict people sharing my Facebook ads ? I select usually a radius of 10 miles and then someone in India share my video most probably intentionally and get 30% unnecessary audience . Thanks

Unfortunately, Facebook is not allowing me to exclude my existing business page followers. I will exclude them and facebook will not allow me to use the audience saying "audience too narrow" When I am advertising to the nation with many target details. It should be illegal, I have been unknowingly spending hundreds on advertising thousands of times to the same 200 people, when FB said my pool was 90 million.

Hi Ben, could you make an update video? Because the options for exclusion have changed for target audiences. After all, you can't exclude a Custom Audience on its own. Or do you have to include a Custom Audience and then exclude it directly? I dont get it.

What if I want to exclude people from 35-45 years old for example?

If you see this comment I am really curious if you have an answer for this: I set my age range from 18 to 34; yet HALF of my conversions are coming from people that are over 65 years old. Do you have any clue why this would be happening?
