You need to also create an extensionless file called ssh and put it on the root directory of the sd card. Due to Raspbian Jessie no longer enabling ssh by default. This enables it. Hope this helps anyone with problems ssh'ing into it.

I cannot, for the fucking life of me, get any solder to stick to the 5v pad. All the others are fine. The 5v pad has 6 tiny dots on it and looks visibly different from the other pads. This is starting to piss me off. I don't know if the pad itself is damaged. Is it okay to just run the 5v through the gpio?

Would it be possible to share the internet connection in the opposite direction?

To clarify, would it be possible to use a raspberry pi zero w, connect it to wifi, then plug it into a PC and have the PC use the Pi's internet connection. (Basically using the Pi like a fancy wifi adapter)

Hello it's been over a year and i lost my dongle about 6 to 8 months ago and decided to make a new one. So i followed the same steps. I was able to get a COM10 port But that is all no RNDIS Gadget in the network area. Has anyone had this problem or a fix for it?

um, is there a way so i can do this on linux/unix... trying to make an app idea that uses a pi3 and pi0 for both localized network traffic and outbound, if this is possible to do on a winodws machine how would i go about it on a raspbian lite version.

i rhink it would be cool to do stuff off of the rapsi in this way, emulate x86 and send programs for the pi to do

Maybe I'm missing something.... you basically made the Pi into a device that can be used as a flash drive/virtual machine. It seems more cost effective to me to just buy a flash drive and run a free VM.

Remote NDIS does not seem to exist on Windows 10 any more.

Interesting concept, you could use these in the same way that you would a VM. Sometimes you just don't want to waste actual server resources on something (like SnipeIT).

Would external wireless adapters work I plug in a tp link usb WiFi adapter I use on my pi 3 in Kali Linux it works as expected but on my pi 0 it doesn't show up. I suspected it might be cause im plugged in as a Ethernet gadget so I unplugged and plugged into a power bank same thing even when I disable ethernet mode in pwnpi aola. Any ideas I tried just about everything I can think of.

Spoiler: Win10 doesn't allow internet connection sharing like this any more. Don't waste your time.

I can SSH in but Windows 10 will no longer share it's internet connection this way, rendering the whole project useless. If someone has a solution, let me know.

When I try and share in connection (I am using Ethernet on w10) there is no dropdown option, just an input box with the word Wifi, any ideas?

I get why you'd want to connect to the pi over USB. But can't you skip the first part and just buy a $2 micro usb cable?
