I had 5-7GB worth of temp in appdata and found it using windirstat, this was a second-hand laptop but DAMM, deleting all my temp granted me from 80-90 to 100-110GB, wow

I regularly clear 20 to 30+ GB of storage space from EU's devices' temp folder, so storage space is a valid defense.

Thank you for making me confident on deleting 12 gb folder while updating something 😂 + deleted some after effect cache was 87gb damn it frees 100gb ❤❤❤

I wouldn't agree that it is a myth... it made a huge difference to my laptop, and I always keep my recycle bin cleaned up, plus I usually use 'shift-delete' anyway. Getting rid of Temp and Prefetch made things snappy again.

i deleted my temp files and it actualy works it deleted 60 gb on my 248 gb laptop :P

Works for me I had 20 gigs worth of phone firmware files on my PC I deleted them halo infinite runs at max settings properly. Rtx 2060 i7core 16 gig ram 6 v ram laptop.

My temp files are 773 MB (810,605,109 bytes) and I never knew they existed until today and I've had this computer for almost 2 years

Yup deleting won't speed up anything. But my temp directory shows me 1.4GB of junk files for the past 1 month alone. :P
