Things I Wish I Knew BEFORE Starting Genshin Impact...

as a new player who has started in late november/early december of 2023, dont be like like and save ur primos. i absolutely suck at saving, but if you want to pull for a specific character you want, like neuvillette in my case, save for them and do not spend your primo gems, starglitter, fates and stuff to pull on the banners of the characters you dont want

As someone who only buys welkin in genshin, the feeling of having 10k primos without topping up is so satisfying, knowing you got there yourself without the help of your credit card feels insanely good, especially if you get the characters you want from doing it

For the love of god save your primo gems to build 2-3 specific teams! AND ONLY LEVEL ONE TEAM AT A TIME!!! You will burn through resources very quickly if you try to build 7 teams at once like I did.

Playing since april 2023, biggest tips are that if u wanna spend money welkin+bp is more than enough. If u care about meta a lot and thats how u get ur enjoyment Yelan+kazuha+nahida+furina are all great picks, but obv pull who u want. Building supports+cores makes the game easier than having a lot of dpses. Sharkheart on yt is AMAZING for beginner players. DONT REFINE 5 STAR WEAPONS!!! Also favonius weapons. If u want something off the weapon banner, make sure u have 200 wishes saved bc the fate points dont carry over sadly. Also dont be afraid of coop!!! Those r my tips

I do like leveling all the characters, but I only do that after I've gotten 2 decent teams (tho I still don't do floor 12 as an ar59, lol)

The only time I've ever pulled on the weapon banner was for ventis weapon and that is solely because I love venti.

On the point about levelling every character, I'd say only do it if you're comfortable with where you're at with your teams. You should be able to clear most combatitive content in a short amount of time. But with that said, level them one at a time instead of all at once.
By the time you're ready to level everyone, you'll be AR55-60.

Genshin Impact is one of the best games I have played! The characters are great! Some are better than others! The main story is just getting better and better! Pulling is a big gamble. But the satisfaction you feel after saving for this one special character and getting them is amazing! And so is the pain for losing them. Pace yourself and play how you want!

i actually started playing genshin in December of 2022 when the Raiden Shogun banner rerun was happening and after like 60 wishes I still didn't get her and quit after that. then last year in November I decided to play Honkai: Star Rail which helped me realise how good these Hoyoverse games are. Then I gave Genshin another try and I finally got my Raiden Shogun just a few days ago. Also, I got Navia too so I'm pretty happy.

I just start playing mid phase of furina banner and when i explore Liyue and Monstadt. i regret not pulling for furina. in my mind this character ascension is to far away to collect thats why i dont pull for her. Now 2 months later i got mona and Ayaka. and r2 haran and 1 scarlet sand. my team comp . bennet xiangling ayaka anf noelle.

Don't forget to lock your artefacts. I forgot and accidentally melted my 50 CV electro dmg goblet 😭

Don't waste resin on Artifacts that you can exchange in crafting bench and farm artifact routes.

I’m fine with the elements as I am, the xiangling/lisa elemental trial is agony and I still haven’t finished it.

Took the words right out of my mouth when you get a character you truly want and you slowly build them and your friendship with that character goes up and you discover more about them it kind of does become like your baby

As a person who use to be a hater because it was gatcha game. I will admit was so wrong this game has so much lore and voiced lines that it would put a large percentage of the mmo and rpg to shame.

I love Genshin Impact no matter what people say or how stingy they are. We don't often get FREE games that are of this quality.

I buy welkin and bp and for me it made it more fun

About being F2P, that's so true. I stopped whaling and just only buy WP and BP now.

Not only am I happier when I save, I get to save for characters and weapons I wanna try getting.

When I saved and got C2R1 Furina with wishes I accumulated and saved that was a way better feeling than swiping.

ALWAYS pull your favourites first and meta/suggested after.

To new players, do not skip the reputation system especially on Liyue. That condensed resin recipe is a must for domain farming.

-Even if you're a "meta"/"competitive" player, don't worry too much about clearing Spiral Abyss as soon as possible or difficult combat events, in particular don't let it compel you to pull for characters you don't really care about

-Never buy anything other than welkin/BP (I haven't personally but I've seen some people get very disillusioned after doing it, some even quit), or just stick to f2p if you think that's what you can handle. Anything beyond welkin/BP is kind of a slippery slope

-Get a sense for who your favorite characters are, and then focus on saving to get them and the characters that work very well WITH them or are just really good general pulls. DO NOT pull strictly for power unless that's the biggest thing you care about, but it's also a good idea to have SOME sense of how good a character is before spending resources on getting them

No i feel being F2P isn't great imo sure you have more fun and y'know you explore the world and stuff like that but once you've done every quest every region to 100% there's nothing to do because the world is empty and bland aside from looking pretty trust me I'm F2P in both HSR and GI though i don't play GI anymore the events are time gated too and super imo boring too since you can literally do them in 2 minutes so yeah that's all i have to say!

The toxic positivity of the Genshin community is vomit-inducing.

And I just HATE that i cant even experience story quests because they were limited time but cannon to the story

There is no "meta" in the game. There is no bad characters. There is no "right" or "wrong" way to play the game. Play as you want to play with your own pace. Just enjoy it

Yeah the mobile space is so real. I recently got a new device with 256GB and the first app I downloaded was Genshin, which took up 30GB and it’s STILL EXPANDING. It also takes hours to download 💀💀
But it’s SO WORTH IT

Yap pick everything you possibly can.

As a f2p who has been playing for pver a year now, i absolutely love the game. I was skepitcal when it first came out but im so glad i gave it a try. I have cried for this game more than i thought i would ever. I wish i joined sooner. Im actually currently making some fanart for furina! :]

As a day 1 player who has c6r5 Eula main. my best advice to give you is to summon for Eula. She has the best thighs and ass in game…

As someone who started in late Wriowesly/Venti banner, it's important to accept that you will not get every character. I started playing this game because of Hu Tao who I will get eventually. I also like Raiden and Furina so these three five stars will be my core to get. It allows me to skip few banners that buys me more time to get more pulls as well as refining my current roster's artifact.

Getting more characters is really nice and all but it's not fun getting their materials and building them every time. It takes a long time to build each one up. If you're someone who wants to get every character in the game, then I don't recommend this game.

Yeah it's amazing even as a f2p I am a Neuvillette main and littraly I spent a single cent in this game and he can solo all domain weekly bosses and all non-hydro open world bosses so don't run to spend tons of money in it because being f2p helps to enjoy it more

My tip is to play who you want to play, even if others say that your they hate the character that you love to play with. Do it anyway. Everybody has their own opinion about which character is good or not and everybody should play who they like. Second: ARTIFACTS FARMING IS A BIG SCAM

Something you should do and what I try to tell new players is to at some point build a second team!! I’m AR 56 and I haven’t even finished my first team. A second team can help a lot throughout the game, especially is the abyss. And speaking of Abyss, floors 9-12 are a waist of your time. You don’t even get 1 wish per floor. You should definitely do floors 1-8 because they give lots of primos and ya
