Your video convinced me to get a snowflake for my first luxury watch 5 years ago.
Thinking of my next. Any suggestion? 😀
My first GS is a used Quartz, bought it by accident not knowing the specific model was not automatic, wow was I amazed by the dial and crisp accurate movement, I just acquired my first GS spring drive GMT, the movement is just sick, when I show my fellow Rolex owners and ask them to compare the movement they instantly notice its smoother and cleaner.
ОтветитьI have both and totally can't agree with you, if you compare these 2. ( I am not saying it in greater scope, just these 2)
First, the appearance, which is what GS always boasting about. Let's see some side view shot and all those boasting are going to garbage. Rolex Oyster perpetual is much slimmer and has a more balanced appearance.
Second, in pure technical term comparison, the thinner the more difficult to make it accurate, so I rate Rolex far better than GS.
Third, speaking of mechanical accuracy, Rolex is far superior than GS. I wear it and has an astonishing 0- +1secound/day. (let's compare mechanics to mechanics. Those hi-bridge or Frankenstein can't be counted as mechanical watch. I can't see the point to use SpringDrive. If you need absolute accuracy, go Quartz Watch. )
Fourth, boasting about polishing from GS, I still rate them equal, if Rolex is not a bit better. You can't see it on picture, but in reality, the subtle shiny white gold hand is better look than the stainless hands. For the dial, Perpetual's matt white dial is very smooth and subtle. You need to own it to appreciate it.
I am not saying GS is a bad watch. It is a Great watch.
But boasting something you don't really have is making you look cheaper than what you really are.
For making a thinner mechanics, more accurate time keeping, more dependable watch. Or even brand Image, GS still has a long way to go. Upping price and keep boasting simply not the way to acquire them.
I disagree... ROLEX for me please.
ОтветитьI love Seiko watches❤❤❤
ОтветитьGS beats modern Rolex but not vintage Rolex
ОтветитьGet one good daily driver GS, and a few sport Rolex.
ОтветитьRolex has never been more than a disappointment for me. Down to their CS.
ОтветитьAs i read the comments to this video they remind me of when Toyota released their luxury brand Lexus first came out, so many said they will never compete with likes of BMW, Mercedes Benz etc. but look at them now. I personally don’t care that much about brand names, not trying to impress anyone or have the need for others to think I’m impressive by owning a Rolex what I care about is quality and looks. Not a watch guy but think I’m getting into them as i watch more videos like this and I can tell you this I would never pay over $5k for a watch! Like me ask you all does a $20k Rolex keep better time than a quality $3k watch?
ОтветитьThe Swiss should fear the name "(Grand) Seiko"
ОтветитьAs an owner of a datejust 178273 so perlamutt dial, bicolor rosegold, diamond indicators with white gold bezel and 41mm . And an owner of an SBGE413 Grand Seiko. I always and i mean always choose the grand seiko. I am currently looking into selling my rolex for more grand seikos to take places for example the mist flake since rolex just isnt it. Dont get me wrong, rolex is solid in everything. Thats their whole strategy, there is nothing that i can say that i dont like and the jubilee bracelet is amaizing. But it also doesnt shine in anything, its not only boring but also just saddening to look at. I never find myself looking at my rolex for long periods but i can look at my grand seiko for hours
ОтветитьThe sheep follow the media and brand marketing which sells them what they think they want. Where as the few that see beyond all that want a better more refined product, reach for the grander option. We all know where sheep eventually end up.
ОтветитьOh please you are so wrong
ОтветитьI love Grand Seikos. Their white/light dials win every time, but (BUT!) I wish they would improve their black dial offerings.
ОтветитьNumber one. You can buy 5 of them for the price of one rolex.
ОтветитьI have Rolexes and GSs. GS needs to redesign their bracelets and improve after sales service, in my opinion.
ОтветитьRolex c'est de la merde !
ОтветитьTake my money
ОтветитьFor me GS dials are stunning but they need to have different style of hands and have quick adjust bracelet on all models.
ОтветитьMy man... Your watch story telling skills are nicely assembled. Well done!
ОтветитьI just don't get the power reserve dial. Up should be FULL, bottom is EMPTY. Simple yet retardedly implemented.
ОтветитьThe grand seiko would be the better watch. But a rolex has a status with its name that comes to everyone, not just the watch enthusiasts
ОтветитьI wonder why there are no waiting list for GS?
ОтветитьA
Ответитьgreat vids like always, can sell ice to eskimos lol
ОтветитьGrand Seiko ice blue dials are gorgeous.
ОтветитьPeople buy rolex for Social Status not horology.
ОтветитьGrand Seiko could easily become my next dream acquisition.
ОтветитьGS is my dream watch 😍
ОтветитьGrey market dealers are seething with anger at this video.
ОтветитьGuys, please help.Which gs model you guys prefer to own? Im looking for my self.
ОтветитьIt's not an apple to apple comparison unless you take The Hi Beat version
ОтветитьWhat is the background song in the beginning of video, any please !
ОтветитьHave had both a GS and a Rolex OP41. Preffer the Rolex any day.
ОтветитьGrand seiko is the king of watches. but its only known to watch enthousiasts
ОтветитьMy latest want is for a GS quartz watch to go with my Skyflake. The movement is Repairable, beautiful and capable of regulation. And then a vintage mechanical. I’m hooked!
ОтветитьThe movement is so smooth
ОтветитьРолекс - это сгнивший американский миф типа Харлея. На котором ездят латиносы.
