This is literally how it feels to me as a young adult who has quite understood how much history is being hidden and our livelihoods being corrupted to make us dependent on a leader.
How on earth can we call this country great when behind the professional photos of tourist attractions you have favelas, you have gangs killing each other and their communities for survival and scraps, you have bigots using religion and biased hatred to harm each other just so someone can feel their own pain and misery? We have a long history of killing innocent people to keep ppl in line when ppl were fighting for things like voting rights, living at the same equity rights, and just trying to be alive in peace in general. Humans are so willingly blind its painful to admit.

we watched this in my film lecture and i was so traumatized by this scene 😭

I've never seen this movie but it looks like they made a mistake in this clip. As the woman was taken out of her cell, the men put a straight jacket on her. But then as she was being brought into the room there was no straight jacket on her anymore.

So they refused to eat and they were force fed so they wouldn't starve to death.

I feel bad for Alice she had to be force fed but I also feel bad for the women they didn’t want to do this but they had to so;(
