I still can't get over the fact that he used 13 gauge strings on his guitar. Those are virtually as thick as telephone wires ffs! The tone and bends Stevie uses are just remarkable given the cable size girth of those guitar strings. I have been playing for forty years and have never felt comfortable beyond 10 gauge. What a monster. I just wish there was a video of Jimi watching this and seeing his smile. You know he would have been floored. Killing floored.
