Long summary short Block Mining: Miners compete to mine new blocks of Bitcoin transactions, not individual transactions. When they successfully mine a block, it contains a batch of transactions from the Bitcoin mempool (the pool of unconfirmed transactions).

Difficulty Adjustment: The difficulty target in Bitcoin is adjusted approximately every two weeks (or 2016 blocks) based on the total network hash rate. The network adjusts the difficulty to maintain an average block time of approximately 10 minutes. If blocks have been consistently mined faster than 10 minutes, the difficulty increases, making it harder to find valid blocks. Conversely, if blocks have been mined slower than 10 minutes, the difficulty decreases, making it easier to find valid blocks.

Transaction Confirmation: Once a block is successfully mined, all the transactions within that block are considered confirmed. The miners' job is to find a valid block hash that meets the current network difficulty, not to set specific difficulty levels for individual transactions.

Individual Transaction Confirmations: The confirmation time for an individual transaction depends on when it is included in a block and how many subsequent blocks are mined on top of it. For most practical purposes, a transaction is considered secure after it has been included in a block and a few more blocks have been added on top of it (usually 6 confirmations are considered sufficient for high-value transactions).

Generally how many nodes/miners are there in a network? For example, if A insertes a new block then all the other nodes will run some algorithm to verify the new block.. but how many nodes are there? (generally)
