AMD FidelityFX CAS VS NVIDIA DLSS 2.0 Death Stranding Maximum Settings 4K Graphics Comparison

I had to pull my previous video as there was an issue with the brightness being set at 2 on the RX 5700 XT System and set to 5 which is default on the Nvidia system. This led to the DLSS 2.0 footage looking washed out. Anyway here is a more accurate comparison, please watch at 4K for best results enjoy

What is the FPS Difference? why you don't zoom in clearly to see the detail difference? a not a good comparison for me

DLSS leaves a trail on small objects like the floating ash in the distance (they're not supposed to do that). AMD FX does not.

your dedicated streaming pc is way more powerful than my main rig :'(

Looks like Fidelity FX CAS has some work to do to get to DLSS quality. I hope it improves, as I have an RX 6800 otw

All I can distinguish is brightness so far...

In almost every case DLSS 2.0 will look better than FidelityFX CAS, but I have a 1660 super and can't use DLSS so I like use FFXCAS xD

DLSS is only provided on RTX, while AMD FidelityFx is there for earlier card.

And what's the conclusion? FidelityFX works as good as DLSS?

Nvidia will always look better

This can be done on the same card, 1080 Ti gets around 100fps, 1440p TAA max settings, with FidelityFX upscale around 140fps. Native looks better to me, the fps is more then sufficient for my needs.

fanboys nvidia talks lot about DLSS2.0... i don't see difference from FidelityFX.

Does it mean, once AMD fidelityfx cas hits the next gen consoles, the xbox will be superior? What is important for a better performance? Teraflops? Higher cpu clock?

My 16 threads are sweating playing this in 5K but its still smooth with Ryzen 7 2700X with amd precession boost overdrive enabled but with that said Nvidia DLSS2 is a little bit better so we need a CAS 2

DLSS does appear sharper but both are fairly comparable. I wonder what net % gains each gets though this compared to when running in their 4k native resolutions.

Fidelity FX is showing a lot of artifacts, but I am sure they will improve this with time.

In the shot from the back you can read the words on the yellow section of the backpack with DLSS but not with Fidelity FX

You gotta do close ups if you're gonna make these comparisons.

This video would probably be more meaningful if we knew what resolution the games were rendered at and then upscaled to.

I'm AMD fan and DLSS 2.0 does look a liitble better. However with RX6000 and future update on FidelityFX things could be different. Both looks good to me by the way

amd's version actually looks better cause it's not oversharpened and contrast isn't unnatural

You forgot to include framerates of both with both tech's off vs on as well.

AMD FidelityFX CAS need improvement. But is nice to know that AMD FidelityFX CAS is near to dlss 2.0. I cant wait for the 6900XT Release this year. I need a new graphic card.

In my experience, DLSS 1.0 looks better than Fidelityfx and doesn't deep fry HDR whitepoint and blackpoint valuse in the process.

I currently have an RTX 2070 but looking forward to the next generation of cards from both AMD and Nvidia.

I just came here to see the fps difference between the fidelityFX and DLSS 2.0. Like how much fps does each of them two add not entirely concerned about the minor quality difference tbh
