The Paul Bunyan statue was one of King’s favorite sequences from the original novel and vouched for the creativity they put into recreating this scene in a slightly different way.

I am reading this scene from the book itself as I type this, I came back to this because I am uber tired and wasn't really reading fluently, but now I am getting the picture, and this scene is so much more terrifying in the novel. I like how Pennywise becomes the 26 foot statue after, and what I mean by that is that Richie sees the statue, but in the
clown formation.

Honestly even if I find that the fact that the statue is fractured everywhere, it's a little too much. They transcribed almost perfectly the scene of the novel.

Ayo, no one cares but I like how the statue’s mouth has teeth. Statues like these are usually made of fiberglass and when torn, can leave strips of previous layes beneath the top surface. I think it’s cool how they used those rips to make up the teeth It’s random, but kinda cool seeing the attention to detail.

Hinting that Paul was one of them nephilim things.

Seeing a horrifying clown talk about Street Fighter is weird.

The psychological torture from Pennywise is the most terrifying part about Pennywise for me

Why all these movies portraying Paul Bunyan as a bad guy?? I grew up with Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox as a hero to look up to, why turn something good into this trash? It's pathetic!

I read IT after the movies came out and when I read the Paul Bunyan part I just knew that scene in the movie would be so cool

Why does scary Paul Bunyan look like Michael Shannon

I remember seeing this at the theatre with my best friend, and it scared the shit out of us both. Specifically that first Paul Bunyan jump-scare got my friend to leave his seat for a bit. I thought this was a great horror movie personally.
