I wanted to play destiny 2 then I found out all the content I paid money for in destiny 1 no longer exists☹️☹️ what a joke, who genuinely likes this garbage?

I started playing during season of arrivals and with covid around I did nothing but just play through all of destiny, so glad I had a chance to experience most of these. I'd love to have them all again.

i just bought Legacy Collection (2024) and The Final Shape, i just found out i need 4000 silver for 2 dungeon keys so another 40€ and now im watching this video LOL

I miss the farm. When they gave it to us for a weekend, me and another guy stayed in there for a whole day before getting booted.

I loved the hopeless feel of the beginning of the old campainge watching the tower getting raided was so cool

imo anything thats not seasonal that has been removed from the game is just the dumbest thing. imagine removing content from your game for the sake of file space for players smh...

the ratking and sleeper quest were so fun i definitely miss those and faction wars were nice, feeling extremely dedicated to new monarchy while prometheus lenz and graviton lance catalyst was broken just felt amazing (no it wasn’t)

i preordered and played d2 from launch, i came back this year after i refused to pay £200 for all the new dlc, and its so confusing to get back into, i miss mercury, why did they remove the stuff? and instead just add more to it? it's ridiculous

And this is why they need to rework their engine. I think the biggest reason behind the size bloating up is that assets in the Tiger engine are probably stored in the map files just like they were with their previous blam! engine. Probably also why it took so long to load up the game when you wanted to edit something when they worked on Destiny 1.

Red War and Excavation protocol were fucking gas. The two things I missed most. I’d do anything to play the Red War campaign. Idc what anyone says I absolutely loved it.

In my opinion there is a big difference between losing content because of destiny sunsetting the game for some reason (all those raids, red war, etc) vs “losing” the seasonal content. We know ahead of time that it’s season specific activities, of course it won’t remain forever, the game would be brutally cluttered with old activities that hardly get touch. To me most of this video is “losing” seasonal content not destiny purposefully removing content to help their servers or something like they did with year 1 stuff

If you have to remove content to make room for more content, than you should make a sequel. I don’t want to support this behavior, and it’s why I stopped playing Destiny 2 and don’t want to replay it. We could have had a ton of strike missions, multiplayer maps and etc. I feel bad for players that never experienced the red war and the leviathan raid. If Bungie decides to restore all the content that would renew my faith. However, if Bungie thinks this is okay, I’m okay with abandoning the franchise and completely disregarding a Destiny 3.

With the release of The Final Shape and the conclusion to the main story, I really hope Bungie gives us all the old locations and strikes back.

In the first minute of video he talked about 2 planets, two moons, 3 campaigns, 12 weapons, 4 venders and 2 armour sets

I wanted to come back to D2 and continue the campaign where I left off, but having trouble with how the games has changed for over a year since my last D2 play, probably half way through the Statis campaign. I do t think I should even consider to keep playing after watching this video.

We lost Ketch Crash, the closest thing we've had to Star Wars Battlefront's space battles.

i stopped liking destiny 2 as a destiny game a while back because of the constant removal, now i only play it for multiplayer stuff. i say D2 isn't worth spending money on to play but if you can get it for free(which idk if it is or not anymore) sure go for it if you want to do crucible or gambit, but if you truly want a game like destiny 2 then go get Destiny 1

Thats a shame cutting pieces of the Game the creator of this spit on her Work because of space and Performance!Whatever, D1 is still complete and i am very happy about it.

Another fantastic video. I really hope bungie is listening. There's absolutely no reason to remove all of this content except to force people to buy new content. Look at WOW or ESO, to this day you can still play day one content even after years of expansions. Personally, I don't think it's worth it as a returning player. I can't speak for new folks, but bungie broke my heart with sunsetting and all later content removals. Thank you sir. Here's to hoping.

I didn’t even know so much got removed till I tried starting a new game on destiny 2 seeing I haven’t played in years. All for me to get the destiny 1 opening which was fun but the destiny 2 opening to that cabal war was fantastic and emotional, why oh lord did they have to do such a stupid thing. Then I am sad newer players will never get the chance to try the leviathan raid ever again either.

Just add all of this content back in and call the game a game. Why not? I mean its the last year of the game. Come on Bungie, just throw it all back in, even if it doesnt make sense timeline wise. who cares. its fun

I know I'm a year late, but I'm just going to say this to all the people that say "you literally never played this content, who's playing red war right now?", it wasn't meant for you. It's meant for new players. I didn't really enjoy red wars story, but anything is better than shaw hans big dumb adventure

You know what I miss? I miss enjoying playing Destiny. I miss having that new item, that new skin, that new item to grind for. I miss collecting things and not just paying for them. I miss when Destiny was about playing Destiny, showing off your mechanical skills, and completing dungeons, raids, and challenges. All Destiny 2 cares about is how much can Bungie squeeze out of the players who remain and continue to play due to FOMO. Destiny 1 and 2 looked beautiful. Destiny 1 finally found it's footing with The Taken King and snowballed it into Rise of Iron. Destiny 2 was 2 years stepping back and a whole new path. Instead of giving content and building on the game, they decided it was better to take away content and force you to pay for anything else you might want. New cool skin? That's not 2-5 hours of gameplay, that's just $10. Nothing in D2 feel like an accomplishment.

Still to this day I’ll never understand why the red war was even removed. That’s literally the whole reason why D2 is D2. Sure it may not been the best campaign but it had its moments and newer players will never get to experience it. A bigger travesty is forsaken being removed as well the expansion that saved D2. Literally blows my mind both were removed

We really didn't "lose" most of these things. The grind was too much in most of them, so I say good riddance.

I know leviathan isn’t the most loved raid and definitely not the best, but it was my first raid and I have great memories and to this day I love the encounters and the central areas as well as the underbelly

I remember trying to grind for the gambit prime armour, never got it, wish I had though

I bet there was at least ONE very fun and rewarding secret quest/mission that was only known by 1 or 2 people and their close friends that is no longer avalible

I think it’s messed up that those who bought Destiny 2 on disc can’t even access the red war. It should’ve been its own separate thing but that’s clearly not how games work…. They COULD but they don’t.

But the 🥜👊💥 is that they resold it as a legacy bundle. Gotta make that 💰

nothing much, just the story of the game, i tried to play, droped after 3 days cause there was no story to play

Why did they take this stuff out?

there is more stuff removed from the game than there currently is in the game, and the stuff currently in the game costs more than twice of the price the removed stuff cost. wild.
