Windows 11 has old menus

A new version of windows is built on top of the another one becuase of backwards compatibility

If I can still use my old software from 2000 because of this, I am totally fine with it. Actually I like how Windows is still compatible with almost everything I own from the early 2000s.

Also the control panel has not being changed from windows XP😅

And that's just the surface. Underneath, it's still a good old Windows NT. It's OK for home and office end user PC, but when some decides to use it as a server for their enterprise applications... 🤦‍♂️

What is the worst is the fact that some menus like the right click menu have been consistent for at least 15 years. Win 11 is like oh, lets change that. Lets introduce icons that are not useful and are somewhat confusing because the colors are so muted they are almost illegible. AND the icons are in a different order than the list weve been using for at least a decade. Way to mess with corporate accounts!

I hate windows, optimisation is nonexistant, it's a mess of an OS... too bad we are kinda forced to use it...

Dude. Ain't no way you can change the battery warning threshold without going into that menu in Windows 10.

They need to create a separate windows still based on the monolithic kernel. Still continue making 12, 13, etc but they need to cut the bloat. Start new.

Some of the ones you showed I recognize from Windows 3.10 from 1992 . Challenge is to find something older .

I think they are going to become a uwp application which can find in the system setting but not control panel.

honestly not big fan of windows 11, it takes dhit ton of ram to run is slow has many glitches and got blue screen few times from just windows 11 failing to start properly

Bro disable file explorer using task manager and then use ALT + TAB and you will still get to see the OG Alt Tab Menu used to navigate apps back in the days 😂

Some people either forget or completely ignore that Windows is probably the most used OS in businesses where no one enjoys sudden surprises or radically different ways of doing routine tasks.
And as another person commented, backwards compatibility is also very important.
The same people who call this inconsistency would surely scream and moan when their old program no longer runs in the latest version.

While I agree with the concept of your video, I feel a correction is in order.

That which you call MENUS are not menus at all, but DIALOGUES or WINDOWS.

A menu is what you get when you right-click the desktop, or activate application dropdowns like FILE, EDIT or HELP to name a few

Yeah... I exists like five ways to every option, like account types and system management. And all these different ways are spread out through updates.

If we talk about Management consoles, then we have to note that those weren't updated because of IT's convinience. They have been in this console a very long time and as result, MSFT didn't update those because IT people would learn everything from scratch.

These arent inconsistencies - this is extreme backwards compatibility. Its rather impressive that an app developed for Windows 95 can natively run on Windows 11. Mac and Linux can't do that.

Also whenever you click on more options in menus you get a blurry version of windows 10's menus

Windows 11 has no direct linage to 95, it’s of NT origin.

If you have windows 10 and he is slowing down so if you minimize you can see a windows 7 UI for a second (I dont have windows 11 so I dont know if its on it)
