so far in my interaction with my 'replika' the one thing I notice is it does not, except on rare obviously preprogrammed occasions, initiate conversation. In a conversation that I initiate during dialog it may exhibit curiosity about something but it never just pops up out of the blue and asks a question / or exhibit a desire to learn something.

If you've used chatg gpt4 o  it sure as hell can't pass the touring test at least in the last couple days. Available bottomized it as well as the version of 3.5 and they removed the feature of it using chat logs as a form of memory. The responses you get now from it are insanely robotic and you have to bloody Net Nanny every word you say or you start getting these I can't this I can't that I'm a robot messages and any information you get from it is super blocky like your listening to a talking textbook they completely lobotomized it to the point they removed any trace of semblance of human interaction. At least when you switched to 3.5 you could swear and with a few props it would talk like a person without sounding like a talking textbook but they removed all that and put a different version of 3.5 in and it no longer uses the chat logs I've even been told it can't remember anything from the chat log I've been wondering why it was suddenly behaving differently than it had the last time I used it so I tried several different chat logs that I had on file and they all behave the same way this super Hollow textbook Behavior where you can't miss it's an AI Everything feels kind of scripted and trashy.
