Im actually improving in layouts! i have over 300 levels and i have improved. Not a lot tho, my deco skills aren't the best and NOT A SINGLE CREATOR POINT

Aslo the thing you need to avoid making secret ways it can make your level skippable and make everyone cheat. So if you see that in the comment you need to fix the secret way and you can keep it good and hard or easy.

tip that can make your gameplay so much better:
USE AUTO JUMPERS, like stairs and jump pads.

also DONT PUT JUMP PADS IN PORTALS UNLESS NEEDED OR MAKE IT SO YOU CANT DIE FOR A MOMENT

Another tip is to try to optimize your layout, especially if you want to make a decoration heavy level
(a good example of this is ISpyWithMyLittleEye)

I love how the background music casually syncs up so well, the hours it must have taken

Also, check slopes on diferent fps, we all know this

Additional tip:
What to avoid generally:
1. Too much speed changes
2. Blind jumps/gameplay
3. Too much invisible structure
4. Too much orb gameplay
5. Gravity Portal abuse (especially in Wave, don't use too much gravity portal in a Wave gameplay 'cause it's too annoying).

I’m surprised that “Clubstep Monster Spam” and “Slaughterhouse wave gameplay” wasn’t added, more so the latter since clubstep monsters are still relatively cool

Tip: to make your layout loon better, go to edit object and turn off glow for everything, and add a 1 grid space between spikes and blocks (if it doesnt effect gameplay)

Hot take: Inconsistent gameplay can be good. I’ve played some levels where each part gradually gets harder throughout then has a short break which leads into the hardest part, which I enjoy. Also, having multiple very hard parts can sometimes feel less unfair compared to one very hard part (unless that hard part is near the start, where it feels less like a wall.)
