I was enjoying Metro 2033 until I played the Library Mission...

If someone warns you of something in the Metro universe: listen to them, just keep eye contact with the Librarians and keep staring until they walk off, if they get nervous step back a little

The trick is to not fight them then just stare at them and theyll leave you alone, i remember on my 360 play through i fought all of them, then on the redux i didnt mess with them

Metro exodus blind ones are easier to kill in that game… Versus entire roster of baddies from the first 2 metro titles are imfucking-possible to drop without your entire arsenal and ammo.

by the way this is not even hard 🤣🤣🤣 the labrarians if you see them just dont shoot open your light and stare at them they will leave you alone all you have to do is be friendly and not bother them if you accidently shoot them just know there is no going back either kill them or die

I wasn't scared* of the Librarians because I listened. Don't run away from them if they spot you, and don't shoot them. Stare them down and they just get confused and leave. Breezed through the library, lol.

Edit: *After 30 minutes of being terrified... Once I realized that the advice is legit.

I literally killed every librarian because I was afraid of one of them grabbing me and had to finish the game with no ammo

The book version is creepy because they mimic human speech and the library is pitch dark.

uf god dammit this part for me was even more ptsd-inducing than that goddamn spider-crab stuff from last light..........

I ran out of ammo when there was 3 librarians

This is exactly how my first encounter with the librarians went got scared and pissed used up all my supplies including mgr, although theres a shortcut.



Stealthing the first floor and then slowly treading to the 2nd floor avoid any encounter until you reach the middle room (where you crawl in before opening the cell door) Once you open it run like hell to the end section boom no ammo spent (if you were undetected and decided not to shoot them.)

Guess this problem if artyom is the main character and who's the main friend bourbon or khan?

You can just stare them down and they will go away lol

I'm not afraid to admit this. When this game first came out, I nearly shit my pants every time one came around the corner or dropped from the ceiling lol

Why was he fighting them?

My first playthrpugh I managed to kill like 2 librarians because I didn't know you weren't supposed to fight them

does anybody know what the ost is called at the start of the game where it takes you through the tunnels to the main menu office

The librarians are like SCP-173 just a whole helluva lot worse since they can move even if you look at them.

I definitely took an aggressive stealthy approach where I carefully offed each librarian one at a time separately with sticky bombs or Molotov's. If you time your attacks correctly and get set up at good ambush points you can retreat from they are not that bad to deal with.

i hated the library but did not listen to miller and i thought you were supposed to kill them but the i saw the second one and looked up a guide because that scary as hell

The librarians are a great punishment for people who don't pay attention to instructions ;)

Proper vid chief - nicely edited. Have just finished 2033 on the 360 today and had my Screaming session with the Librarians on Tues night. Manic mix of Ruskies , shoot em til their dead and straight up factor 15 gman shit dreamstate. So original and (as long you can smash thru the bugs) a good challenge.

Had to play It with a walkthrough so I wouldnt feel alone. Still almost got a heart attack. Imma coward

And i was just running as fast i can at hard difficulty and managed to do it with some moltov and killing 2 monsters

I am genuinely surprised at how many people never actually listen to Miller’s advice before going into the Librarian/Blind Ones nest, I understand it for first playthroughs but after getting beat into the ground by a hairless gorilla after emptying an entire round of shotgun shells point blank 27 times, might be time for a different approach?

The first time I played the game I do what Miller say to me and I look the beast to the eyes and they all live... The socond time I get there with a Helsing and a good amount of arrows... Not a single one librarian stay alive at the end. >;)
