Oh! What a privilege to listen to your sermons. Rest in perfect peace Dr Graham. You are in the Bossom of your Heavenly Father.

Jesus hears this ones voice that can be heard across the sea of galilee. At night, His hollowing with pain and the sound of His distress in His voice that carried across the night. Christ can no longer let this one be in pain. Christ crosses in haste to help this one and is confronted with the demon who is causing this mans grief!
Imagine that they feared him enough to chain him, to the head stones in this dark cemetery. Fearing a poor human being who is processed with a demon!
The human condition of sin , can cause these things even today. We see it when people are attacked, or even killed. There can be no other explanation for the violence you see and hear of ,than from Satan living in someone else! Even those possessed with the idea, evil is all around that they have the power to overthrow it, somehow justifying there evil deeds. Even so the city of Gadarenes, is a place that sin dwells as they tell Jesus to leave! This is what is happening in the church's today, as they fear the sounds that come from Hell and prevent the Gospel to be preached!

For salvation, we just need to follow the way they did it in Acts?
They repented, were baptized in water in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and received the gift of the Holy Ghost, Acts 2:38!
Here's why! The gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. If we are to follow him, we must do the same thing. Death= repentance, Burial = baptism, and resurrection = being filled and rising again from the dead and walking in the newness of life.
That's what Acts 2:38 is. It harmonizes with Matthew 28:19, and all the other salvation scriptures.
We can't pick and choose which scriptures we like or dislike.
We must obey the gospel, 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that OBEY NOT THE GOSPEL of our Lord Jesus Christ... Matthew 7:21-23, Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that DOTH THE WILL OF MY FATHER which is in Heaven. St John 3:3-5, EXCEPT for a man be born of WATER AND OF THE SPIRIT, he cannot enter the kingdom of GOD.
We can't come up with our own gospel. Galatians 1:8-9, But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. Don't be cursed. One way for all people. Jews, Gentiles, and Samaritans.
Our salvation has to match up with the scriptures, and no scriptures on the subject can be taken away. Eternity is TOO long to be WRONG! St, John 5:39, search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
The gospels show what Christ has done on the cross for us. The book of Acts shows us the beginning of Christ's Church and how to enter the Church, obeying Acts 2:38. The letters were written to the Church to show us how to behave now that we are born again into the Church.
It's better to walk alone than with a crowd going in the wrong direction. Are we supposed to follow the teachings of the apostles? Acts 2:42, And they continued steadfastly in the apostle's doctrines. Ephesians 2:20, We are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ being the chief cornerstone. Don't get Titus 3:5 mixed up with James 2:14-26, about WORKS. One is a WORK of your OWN RIGHTEOUSNESS OR GOOD DEEDS, and the other is a WORK OF FAITH or OBEDIENCE TO GOD.
If I buy you a cake and tell you to come to get it, and you refuse to, then you won't have the cake even though it's been fully paid for. Christ set up the way, and we must come the way he set up to be saved or to receive it.
Noah believed or had FAITH, BUT THEN WORKED OR OBEYED TO BUILD THE ARK TO BE SAVED. LOT believed or had FAITH, BUT THEN OBEYED AND LEFT SODOM. This is why Jesus said, He that believes and is baptized shall be saved. FAITH EQUALS OBEDIENCE TO GOD! All scriptures have to harmonize together ..

Many people solely base their Salvation on what Jesus said in John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life." But Jesus was not finished speaking yet. Later after He rose from the dead and just before He ascended into heaven He said in Mark 16:16,"He that believes and is BAPTIZED shall be Saved, but he that believes not shall be damned." At about that same time He said in Matthew 28:19,"Go therefore and teach all nations, BAPTIZING them in the name (SINGULAR name and not names) OF the Father, and OF the Son, and OF the Holy Ghost." Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are titles and not names. Jesus disciples never used those words when they baptized anyone in water, nor did they use those words in one sentence regarding any other topic. Every time Jesus disciples baptized anyone in water they invoked Jesus name at baptism which is Acts 2:38, Acts 8:14-18, Acts 8:38, Acts 9:18, Acts 10:44-48, Acts 16:15, Acts 16:33, Acts 18:7, Acts 18:8, Acts 19:3-5, and Acts 22:16 (Paul's baptism). Peter said in Acts 4:12,"Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is none other NAME under heaven given among men, whereby we must be SAVED." Paul said in Colossians 3:17,"And whatsoever you do in word or deed, do ALL in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by HIM." Paul said in Colossians 2:8-10,"Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. 9 For in him dwells ALL the fullness of the Godhead bodily. 10 And you are COMPLETE in him, which is the head of all principality and power." Also verse 12, "BURIED with him in BAPTISM, wherein also you are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who has raised him from the dead."
The book of Acts is the most important book in the New Testament because all of it is what Jesus and his disciples said what we must do to be Saved, which is what Jesus meant in John 3:3-7, "Verily, verily I say unto you, Except a man be born again, he can not enter into the kingdom of God. 5 Verily, verily I say unto you, Except a man be born of water AND the of Spirit, he can not enter into the kingdom of God. 7 Marvel not that I say unto you, YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN." Being born of water is being baptized in water in Jesus name - which is for the Remission of Sins (Acts 2:38). Being born of the Spirit is being baptized with the Holy Ghost - which is addressed in Acts 2:4 (Pentecost), Acts 8:17, Acts 9:18, Acts 10:44-48, and Acts 19:3-5. Nowhere in Scripture does it say it happens any other way than that way. There is not one Scripture that says a person receives the Holy Ghost just because they are a believer. Acts 19:2-5 is a good example.

Jesus said in John 10:27,"My Sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me."

Thank you Billy Graham for the message. The teaching on the soul seems unbiblical. Ezekiel 18:20 states that soul that sins shall die. We won't live firever even if we go to a proverbial hell. We die. if we are covered in the blood of Jesus we do not. If we sin without falling before Christ, there is a first death (mortal bodies) and a second death (eradication). The second death is final...you don't go on living and burning in hell. This eteenal torment idea came from a mistranslation and misunderstanding. It says and the smoke of their torment ascends forever. The Wors is talking about the smoke, not that the torment continues. Additionally, when God created man in His own image, God created the man and breathed life into man. This is found in Genesis. This breath of God plus mans inorganic matter created a being cakled a soul. The Bible states this plainly. We are created to be immortal, but we can't claim eternal life without Jesus as our saviour!
