I knew of this game when I was like 6-7 through the coin-op museum. When I was around 11 I actually played it in an arcade compilation at a Chuck E Cheese. It was fun from memory.
ОтветитьAutumn 1990, USSR, Irkutsk city, a game room on Joseph Utkin Street, 30. One of the most interesting childhood impressions.
ОтветитьNo exaggeration here on how hard it was to execute a fireball and uppercut. Unless the joystick was worked in and/or worn down underneath the arcade console it was square and both moves required a round motion. Was almost impossible. I loved the music of the original SF along with the first Samurai Showdown. Growing up in the arcades of the 80s and 90s was the best.
ОтветитьI remember when this game first appeared at our local arcade. There was a crowd of about 25 people waiting to play it. The arcade had to limit everyone to one game. When it was finally my turn. I was killed in about 10 seconds.
ОтветитьOne word ☝️
Legendary.
The ancestor of all Versus fighting games.
ОтветитьQue bien estuvo recordar los momentos de mi niñes. Pero que wey y pendejo estás para jugar cuando guste te podemos enseñar .
Saludos ...
I always found it funny how mike was black on the VS screen mix race in the round

ОтветитьFun fact: some of the versions of this game used pressure sensitive buttons, with the strength of your move depending on how hard you hut the button
Not so fun fact: These special machines had to be discontinued because lots of people broke their fingers while playing
Looks quite good, unlike the PC ports...
ОтветитьI never knew The First Street Fighter came out in 1987
ОтветитьThis is where it all started for the Street Fighter series. man it really has come long way and such a big difference from this to Street Fighter 2. Heh.
Well done Game Archive 👍
The voice clip sounds like it was recorded using a toaster
Ответить¿que fue de luchadores como joe?
ОтветитьI like the whole battle saga and the ending; That's great. I'm a proud American; But I'm also an unconventional strategist and scientist. I played a lot of mall arcade 'Street Fighter' the version where Sagat wears a Skull necklace and does a levitating Hindu prayer before battle; His combination of fight moves including especially the across the screen double punch reach like an intercontintental elusive smart missile: was probably not intended as he's the minority savage in the American pantheon of the time: but you could pretty reliably defeat any character with a pattern of play.
Ответить"Whab strwenb! Bub don'bht fohget tha there aw many guybs like you all obah dah wahrld!"
Nice Engrish! LOL
Imagine being a huge fan of this game in the 80's and then wondering if the upcoming sequel would be as good.
ОтветитьFUEINCREIBLE JUGAR ESTO SIENDO UN NIÑO PALANCAS EN FORMA DE VELITA XD LA FLAMA DE UNA VELA XD

Ответить"WUT STRENT! BUH DOAN FUGHET DARE ARE MENNY GIZE LIE YOU OAL OBA DA WUHL!"
ОтветитьI didn't know ryu wore red high heels
ОтветитьSo this was the original video game? The one that could only be played on a coin operated standing station in an arcade?
ОтветитьWHAT STRENGTH!!
BUT DON'T FORGET THERE ARE MANY GUYS LIKE YOU ALL OVER THE WORLD
WHAT STRENGTH!!
BUT DON'T FORGET...
seeing all these characters that would never return again (as far as i know, at least) is absolutely surreal, though at the same time i dont think anyone is clamoring for joe or mike or geki or birdie to return
ОтветитьDónde lo consigo?
ОтветитьSagat : You can't win them all.
Ryu : I will not give up, and will win.
Sagat : No my undefeated streak ended
Ryu : I didn't fight for revenge, I fight with honor.
Even with all of its faults, Capcom definitely were on to something legendary with the original Street Fighter. All I see from a problem standpoint is controls and movement really. And what a massive improvement they made on those fronts for SF2 that would set the bar for every fighting game going forward!
ОтветитьGerardo Andrés Barragan Carreño 1
ОтветитьSaw this in the arcade long ago, but don't remember a full playthrough. Nice backgrounds.
Some close ones, & Sagat was tough. Fun vid.
I remember burning endless coins into the arcade which had the big rubber pads than encouraged you to hammer them. This was hard to play if memory serves me well.
ОтветитьFun fact. The artwork of the characters before each match was done by Keiji Inafune. In fact it was his first gig at Capcom.
ОтветитьThat last beat is hard on the ears! I'm glad improvements were made. I don't even remember the first Street Fighter. I just remember 2 being the game to play.
ОтветитьCome on Capcom remake this game already. Not many were fortunate to play this game
Ответить🙂
This version had the special moves spoken in Japanese.
How the hell do you pronounce Ryu's name anyways?
ОтветитьBOOOOWWW-WAAUUUUUUUU
ОтветитьNever played this but I've played the second game on Sega Genesis.
ОтветитьThe best part of the Street Fighter I are the music and sound effect.
ОтветитьThank god Street Fighter 2 ended being better than this hot trash
ОтветитьI love how pretty much Ryu, Ken and Sagat are the only returning characters. I wonder if Eagle and Cammy are related. They’re both british spies and the background looks similar with the castle and bridge.
ОтветитьI actually cannot believe Retsu is coming back in SF6
Ответитьif this game was remade today, would mt rushmore be removed ????
ОтветитьSagat is the only character that made SF2
ОтветитьROUND 1! MICHAEL!!!
