I loved the series, really well done.
I have a tiny critique, tho.

The monsters were too much visible, I could tell that they were made at computer, and they kinda broke the atmosphere at that point. That's everything I have to say.
About the rest, the story telling, the settings, the strong 90s uneasy vibe is spot on and I love it.
I have to say I think yours is the best analogue horror on the internet rn, hands down. Bravo!

"There's no doors or windows." And then at the end, we see SGT in the basement with ceiling high windows and no doors. The thing somehow threw her down that flight of stairs into the basement when it grabbed her flashlight.

i love how after seeing “the thing” type gore, that all of the references come together

dog kennel facility in the snow

“all the dogs are just standing and staring”

and of-course the gore.

sooo gooddddd

This NEEDS to blow up, if only in recognition of that ending. Holy shit the effects work on display, whether practical, cg, or a mix, is Hollywood tier---and I mean from when that actually meant something. The sheer horror in that execution alone is worthy of virality, to say nothing of the build-up throughout the rest of the tape. Outstanding work!

Without a shadow of a doubt,
this is one of the most well crafted analog horror series i've ever watched.
The way the scenes are crafted.
The disturbing and surreal immagery used.
Combined with good voice acting and sound design, truly a horrifying experience.
But alas a welcome one.

I like the connections you made with Jungian psychology of the self, when it came to questions about the unconscious part of the mind. Along with the idea of the shadow being a part of the psyche. Based on Jungian psychology, the idea of becoming whole with the self is to accept both the conscious and unconscious part of the mind. I'm looking forward to the next video on how the tapes would show the incorporation of unconscious/shadow to be whole with the psyche.

I've been fearful of the monsters in this series before, but this is the first time I've actually despised them, even if they're works of pure fiction. Unless you're talking about a rabid, blood-seeking hellhound like Cujo, you leave dogs alone, goddamnit. The fact a completely innocuous canine-loving woman also suffered a downright hideous fate only stoked the fire inside me.

I know it's extremely unlikely, but I hope Charlotte somehow lived through her horrific experience to become a deformed survivor along the same lines as Jacqui Saburido, launching a personal crusade against the unknown evil that destroyed her life. We need SOME kind of hero to save the day, whether it's Ashley J. Williams or the fucking Ghostbusters.

Once again, those bloody skeletons, the same ones that killed Katie, couldn't attack the victim until some unknown triggers were activated by said victim.
They were always poised to strike, but didn't.
There has to be a lore reason instead of viewer suspense.

I watched all the episodes of the series and I think I have some theories:

Starting from the beginning, the "Greylock Project" was supposed to be this tunnel dug through the mountains, where in fact the ancient chambers were located, perhaps one of these awakened this entity with the white mask which began its massacres.
It should be noted that in some of the videos there is some strange interference, like in episodes 5 and 7, so I said to myself "isn't the entity moving through electronic devices?" (TV, computers, ultrasound as in episode 5, etc...), in fact he managed to kill the child in episode 5 and to give messages in other episodes every time a heavy and distorted voice was heard, such as the phrase "It's equal" in episode 6. Then in episode 9 there are numerous references to electronic devices, however the entity can also move normally as seen in episode 6 during the motion detection of the cameras, but it is an invisible shape and this explains the episode 4, maybe people mistake him for a ghost.

Then there are these skeletal skinless humanoids, they are probably some victims of the entity with the white mask, as seen in episodes 6, 8 and in this one: the victims feel their skin shrinking or moving strangely until they become trapped. Perhaps one of the powers of the entity is to bring its victims back to life as in episode 10 in which Tiffany's body is inspected where the symbol of a star is found and then at the end of the video we see her "coming out" of the morgue, but I'm not entirely sure.

In episode 10 we see a young Tiffany who during her hypnotherapy sees a man who according to the doctor shouldn't be there, perhaps that man could be the entity with the white mask who communicates telepathically with the little girl, perhaps even before being definitively freed with the "Greylock Project".

For now that's all I can think of, but maybe the story will get even deeper with the next episodes.

So the system is some kind of "Applied Jungian Psychology" where the subject is made to confront and assimilate their Shadow, but the reality of doing that is manifesting some psycho-horror into our plane and letting it run wild. Bizarre and uncomforting.

So, did the miners and workers on Mt. Greylock fuse with their dark sides and become monsterous? Since these Tulpas I'm guessing are the embodiments of the shadow selves of those who've gone through the machine.
