What Happens If You Switch Server

I'm in the America Server(AR60) and want to switch to Europe(For friends and f2p) I wont lose the data on my America server right? I can switch back to it anytime?
Also, I start the game anew once I do the Europe account, right? Say I reach AR 50 on that account and go back to my America, then go back to the Europe, Ill still stay at AR50, right? I won't have to start all over again?

I don't know if any of that makes any sense. Hopefully it does. I just want to make sure before I do anything.

I joined Genshin around 8 months with an AR 50 account. I decided to make a new account for Asia (10/1) since my friends played on there as well, I got Jean on 3 pity on Standard Banner. 🗿

My question is; Do I need a different email to click on the "switch servers" button without losing data?

I'm only using one email for genshin and I only have one account. I wanna make another just to test it but I'm scared that if I click the "switch servers" button, something might happen.

If someone can try to explain this in detail (all while describing the situation in a way I can imagine what's happening) that would be awesome! Though all the comments I'm seeing are from months ago so I don't know how long it will take for me to get a response lol.

I was an idiot and instead of choosing the recommended server which was European, I chose Asia because I was an idiot. All of my friends are on the European while I’m stuck on Asia being way too over levelled for them and I could easily carry if it wasn’t for the server issue. I restarted on the European (I understand how it works no need for an explanation) I got to at 16and my friends joined teasing me because I could (well would’ve) been able to carry them and now it’s them carrying me lol
