Hi, I, wondering if you can help me craft a formula. I don’t need the “&” in my scenario but an either or.

I have sheet one where E2 & F2 tho not all complete contain contract & delivery order # s that I want to match against C2 & D2 on sheet 2 (from another source) to obtain a plan # in B2 also on sheet 2. Whatever the right formula is I will just double click to have it expand to the columns I need.

Is there a way to craft a formula of sheet 1 to have it use E2 & F2 values (contract & delivery order #) search array of contract # & delivery orders on sheet 2’s C2 and D2 to then give me the corresponding plan # in B2?

Gret a tutorial on =IFERROR(VLOOKUP() function Mike.I have tried without heleper column and it works fine, but I think its kind of easier to have one helepr column already sorted out within a table rather then formula. Thanks.

Thaaaank you so much!! I'm 10 years late!! So, the past few weeks, I have to manually check it one by one.. imagine, 600-700 rows in a spreadsheet! And I have 20 or more of that to check!! Reason is that there was an extra word, and I don't know what to do since vlook up is not working. Luckily, I bump here!! I am a subscriber but never paid attention on this part.. many many thanks

Your videos are super easy to understand and you have a way with explaining things, I don't know why but I only ever understood excel from you. learned excel from you and became proficient, you changed my life in many ways that can't really be put into this comment and had gotten me out of a desperate situation again that is too long for this comment. so I'm just gonna say thank you, although you deserve more than this .

This was a big help as I used the joining column to allow me to combine data from two worksheets, which had 2 common columns and pick up the key data from the second sheet putting it in the right place on the first sheet. Nice tidy trick and showing the IFERROR part was a classy touch, many thanks
