Actually there were not much action at Fort Siloso during WW2…
The British pointed all the big guns at Fort Siloso (and Changi) to the south. They thought the Japanese will invade Singapore from the sea.
But the Japanese came through the thick jungle of Malaysia and invaded Singapore from the north.

In July, food lovers will be treated to the Singapore Food Festival, where they will be able to enjoy a variety of uniquely Singaporean specialties, as well as Mod-Sin  (Modern Singaporean) dishes, which put a modern spin on traditional flavours.

No country is perfect. While alot of locals spend their time complaining and taking things for granted,it takes a foreigner to appreciate all the little things here.Thanks for the positives views.

Thank you for the video, I found out that investing is not for everybody, you just need a strong stomach too see your portfolio go down. I think the best time to visit Sentosa would be during Halloween, there is an annual Universal Studios Haunted House event which is very popular. Each year the theme is different. On the main island there are also nightly ghost tours. If you do drink, note that alcohol is very expensive in Singapore so what cash strapped locals do is to have a few drinks from 7-11 convenience stores or the Kopitiams (local coffeeshop) before getting to the party joint. If you do pub crawls in Singapore be prepared to fork out a lot of $. If you want to buy toiletries , fruits, small eats go to NTUC/Sheng Siong supermarkets. These are the cheaper options.

Tourist visits some touristy places in Singapore and was able to judge that Singapore is one of the "Best" places. 🤔

Some of the figures in the Sentosa museum are grotesque caricatures which are pretty racist. Head down to Changi memorial gardens and research the lives of the many young British who died there or the graveyards of early settlers. Certainly not aristocrats with greyhounds !!

You've been to other Asian countries... I'm surprised you can still appreciate the toned down version of Asian food in Singapore... It's the place to be if you want to enjoy the general types of Asian food but do not have the palette to 'endure' the intense flavours...

I had bad and scary experience at Changi airport terminal4 last Saturday 13 May 2023. Immigration held me up over two hours before issuing visa. I was travelling on British passport, it should not taken more then ten minutes. I am very unhappy about this which spoiled my Singapore visit. This behaviour a sure way to loose tourists!

Yes, Singapore is a convenient transit hub.Too sterile for me to have an interesting time. Even those parks are kind of pompous and soul less. The street food stalls are long gone which gave some older quarters a bit of character. Some interesting and bombastic architecture though, made to impress.
