did not work for me. I saw ZoomAudioDevice.driver which I deleted like you said, but I still see devices
Ответитьonly decent tutorial I found online, thank you!
ОтветитьI'd already found how to do this and deleted the output device... Im looking for how to delete the input device part! :(. PLEASE How do I delete it from the input devices section :(
Ответитьthanks bro. this saved my time 🖤
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьI don't see HAL
ОтветитьWorthless. He talked so fast that he was unintelligible. The illustrative screens were small, fuzzy, and very hard to decipher.
ОтветитьThanks for the very clear tutorial! I should mention that I wasn't able to delete the drivers by the method you used, though if you navigate via the Finder – instead of using the Go command – to the actual folders you can delete them.
ОтветитьThanks, great video
ОтветитьWhy on earth do I not have the HAL folder....
ОтветитьU are a legend!!!
ОтветитьWhat if the goddamn audio device is not in the HAL folder??
ОтветитьMany thanks! My music kept connecting to a device I had already removed. Very annoying, so your vid was very helpful 👍
ОтветитьI could not for the life of me figure out how to remove virtual audio devices from an App I uninstalled, this was incredibly helpful, thank you! 🙏
ОтветитьThank youuuu!
ОтветитьThank you so much for making it quick and easy, but it's honestly sad that it's this complicated to do something so simple ;-;
ОтветитьThank you!
ОтветитьNice, but my unwanted audio is from an external display (ASM-160QCC), and there's nothing in the Audio folder matching it. So I can't get rid of it. Which wouldn't be a big problem, except now my audio can't automatically switch between the mac speakers and the headphones. I have to make the switch manually, every. single. time. Tiresome. Oh well.
Update: I have found that by simply 'training' Ventura in how I prefer to get sound output, it appears to learn. So it's now remembering that when the headset is connected, use that, and when not, use the speakers in the mac, not the external display. Interesting. Problem solved, I guess.
Thanks this helped me so much!!!!! Had a issue with my Zoom, wasn't able to hear or share my own audio while sharing screens, so I followed your steps and deleted the "ZoomAudioDevice" driver in the HAL folder and restarted my computer and wallah it was all fixed
ОтветитьJust what I needed. Thank you
ОтветитьI don't have a 'HAL' folder. Now what do I do?
Ответитьhow can I temporarily disable the audio device but not delete it?
ОтветитьYou r a Life Saver 🤟🏽

ОтветитьHow do we remove the HDMI audio listed (from the monitor).. There's no folder on HAL, I assume it is created everytime you plug something with HDMI

I followed the steps, but there is no HAL folder under Plug-ins, does it have anything to do with the recent update? Thanks!
ОтветитьI LOVE YOU😭
Ответитьmac is utterly stupid thinking a good ux for this
Ответитьits always the underrated videos
ОтветитьOnly video that actually explained it properly and made it work, kudos!
Ответитьthis is neat, the holy grail however would be being able to hack macos to output other than 48khz audio through hdmi on m1/m2 machines
Ответитьmy HAL folder is empty :/
ОтветитьBamboozled twice, but delivered in the end. THANKS.
