I had the same theory posted on reddit one to one, except the end. I disagree about Glitchtrap being still there. I think this game makes it clear, that Afton is no more. The AI is still there and it learned what it learned, but "Afton's soul/ remnant / agony" is now completly gone. This is what Vanessa did with the help of Cassie's dad and Gregory between Security Breach and Ruin. This is why Vanessa is helping real Gregory save Cassie during Ruin's ending. This is a phenomenal end to Afton imo and an amazing introduction to our new Villains, The Mimic and Mimic AI.

i mean assumedly gregory tried the help wanted 1 game like vannesa did he was supposed to be a pro kid gamer and coder
but as a younger person had no immunity to it got taken over did glitch traps deeds

bonnie dad saved him and tried to do so as well with vanny but failed got yoinked into the system
gregory frees vanny or mostly in sb

possible the remnant in the system though someone else using the mask maybe through his daughter after she got dropped because she contained the mimic ai and mask freed vanny fully

Okay this is going to sound INSANE but- since I heard the moon being the claw and crushing glitchtrap- what if Glitchtrap is inside Sun/Moon? Now hear me out- since Burntrap is destroyed in the Blob ending, the chip might have survived and the Glitchtrap that was saved from HW1 and 2, which was inserted into Moon by accident with the protagonist of Ruin fixing Sun/moon which made it so the Glitchtrap override, but somehow the faz wrench didn't work which made it so the Glitchtrap override was 100 percent in affect, soon affecting Sun as well which is why he has a "I'm so tired of this" kind of tone
