Ответитьchange your way of talking
Ответитьthank you so much. Short and simple and very effective
ОтветитьThanks this has disabled right-click :-) Unfortunately though, it doesn't stop anyone from just grabbing a picture with their mouse and sliding it onto their desktop, have you got any thoughts on how to stop this happening? Thanks, Annette
ОтветитьThe problem with this is that the old "Print Screen" is always available, and that makes doing almost anything useless.
ОтветитьThanks bro! You're awesome! Ignore the unmotivated haters!

I have to say that this is somewhat misleading in its effectiveness. First, adding a code snippet to your header.php file is not of great concern if you're using a child theme (which all sites should be using anyway), this will avoid the potential of the code being overwritten when an update occurs. Second, these plugins are often not updated regularly, and this can cause problems when your site is updated. There is also the potential for a conflict with other plugins, themes, etc. so don't assume this is just such an easy fix. Third, many of these plugins work only on certain images, and are often not effective if your image is opened in something like Lightbox. Finally, disabling right click is not going to protect your images as well as you think. Through basic use of developer tools, anyone can still access and download your images. As it stands, all images on the internet are copyright protected (unless otherwise stated), and if you're concerned that your images may have been used without the proper permissions, there are several options for recourse. Google even allows you to perform a reverse image search to look for instances of a specific image in use on the internet, and you can then deal with the offending site operator.
