Look I know that he hated Sydney's mother for destroying his family but that's no excuse to kill many innocent people just because his mother abandoned him other people in his place he would try to move on with his life and not blame others for what he suffered in that case his mom is the one to blame for leaving him instead of taking him with her.

all the ghostfaces are simple humans but they had a superhuman resistance, they resisted blows, gunshots, even if they were badly wounded they kept on fighting.
in the movies it is implied that they had no power or anything supernatural, but almost most could only be defeated with a shot in the head.
