HermitCraft 9 ep 39! Into Grian's rift!

Oh, good, a compass. Magnetism and the fields resultant from the presence of magnetic activity are phenomena extensively observed, experimented against and documented. @Grian's rift is some other sort of nonsense, so I guess we'll build on what we understand about magnetism as a foundation for observing, experimenting against, and documenting Grian's Rift. Just kidding, Grian is going to just have us all jump into it at the same time without any preparation or concern for our own well-being. I brought a dozen totems. Carrying a dozen totems isn't a substitute for a plan, but it does increase the odds of surviving shenanigans, and it looks like Grian is setting a course for a sea of shenanigans... or at least a bay of buffoonery... or lake of lack of forethought. What could go wrong—there's a question we could have asked ourselves. We could have broken into small groups and asked it several times in different ways that reflect our own experiences. We could have created a list of potential failure modes for jumping into a broken portal, then addressed each with an additional list of contingency techniques to deal with each failure mode. @GoodTimesWithScar was there. He flew into Grian somehow. @xisumavoid warned me not to punch a dragon egg. I didn't know it was a dragon egg at the time. Actually, I still don't. What are those sets of spinning cubes called? @cubfan is better at reading comprehension than I am at this point, largely because I assume any sign in Grian's underground base has deeper significance that it seems on the surface. @PearlescentMoon wore a hat today. That might be relevant somehow. Scar wore it better.
