Just plain amazing!
ОтветитьDirectly inspired on Buddy Rich solos. Ian Paice creates heavy rock playing jazz/funk rules. Simply amazing.
ОтветитьNo disrepect to John Bonham, he was a brilliant drummer. But Ian Paice took it to another level. One of the greatest drummers of his generation. Had the honour of meeting him once, a very modest man and a massively talented one.
ОтветитьDeep Purple always a favourite band of mine.....but others talk you in to how good Sabbath and Zeppelin were.....which they were and I love listening to too...people praise Bill Ward and Bonzo rightly so too....but you just forget how good Ian Paice was, maybe out of the spotlight compared to the other two.....I'm thinking he was even better....same as Richie, as good as if not better than Jimmy Page and Tony (God) Iommi
......all fantastic
Ian is perhaps one of the most underrated drummers of his time, and still is going strong with Deep Purple with nearly 60years to his credit, Rock On Paice..
ОтветитьThis guy at his prime with Tosin Abasi can you even imagine it?
ОтветитьDeep Purple is first, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd second, the rest are just high school bands
of course, Ian Paice is the greatest drummer, it's not even discussed
Whoever thinks otherwise, sorry guys, but you are just immature teenagers who do not understand music
Despite his craziness, Moonie couldn't do this, sorry fans
ОтветитьPretty amazing
ОтветитьHappy 75th birthday to the drum legend! According some memories, in the public of this exactly concert (Copenhagen 1972) was some 9 y.o. Danish kid called Lars... and the rest is another music history you all know very well...
ОтветитьIan pace better than bonzo!
Ответитьтак вот смотрю. все нормальные пацаны кроме Ричи Блекмора, ну реально чмо, нарочито. нелепо выеживающийся
ОтветитьThis is almost as good as Moon's drumming on his gold fish filled kit.
ОтветитьAt that time, Ian Paice! All that remains to be rained with the performance in this basic drums ... Today, the batteries are some monsters close to this ....
There is a video with Ian Paic!, Already much older, in a huge battery ... The guy, gave a show apart ...
The guy closes his eyes... and makes the stars of the show with his sticks... great musician... He made history!!
So amazing <3
ОтветитьSure glad this was filmed!!!😁👍
Ian & Ian 😎
Во барабанщик выгребает молоточек ❤
ОтветитьHE PUT LUDWIG ON THE MAP
ОтветитьNO DRUMMER WILL EVER STEAL NO ONE OFF IAN PAICE SIMPLY THE BEST ❤
ОтветитьIan Paice was always first rate. He was profoundly creative. Listen to all the different textures he creates. If you listen to the albums and just focus on his drumming it's amazingly creative.
ОтветитьIan paice is the best
ОтветитьNot sure if I like Ian more than Mitch Mitchell or not. :)
Ответитьbro really did make them do a smoke break,
incredible
In a row with Carl Palmers Tank and John Bonhams Moby Dick the best drum solo i ve ever heard.
ОтветитьRitchie appears to be plugged directly into the high treble channel of the amp, but is not happy with the sound, because he is trying to tweak it. Earlier Deep Purple MKII footage shows him using the HS treble booster and even switching mid gig to a Marshall combo amp's cabinet with a Vox AC30 amp chassis stuffed inside it. Later footage shows him using using the home stereo unit to boost the input of his Marshall Major amps (to get more overdrive and sustain). Marshall Superlead amps got very bright and aggressive around 1972, which might explain why he dropped the treble booster. Just a guess. The man himself does not say.
Yeah, I am a guitar player. We can obsess over these details, because getting the guitar sounds the greats did is not as easy as it might seem. For example, in the USA they have a billion dollar industry offering folks stuff that is supposed to give people the Eddie Van Halen brown sound (so many folks are obsessed with getting the tone and so many products over the years cashed in on that, along with a few marketing myths too perhaps).
P.S. I'd love to know how he got those liquid smooth lead tones on Perfect Strangers. His solos have some very tricky playing, but the tone on the record makes even what we call stock rock licks sound amazing (stock licks are the basic moves that were derived from well known blues licks that almost every rock guitar player uses, but get bored with and try to spice up).
32 trentaduesimi a "mano", sono un ritmo da batteria elettronica e per di più protratto nel tempo ..... ineguagllato ..... OLTREUMANO .....!!
ОтветитьI always loved Ian Paices drumming gentle in parts but hammering hell for the Grand Finale
Ответить12 points out of 10

ОтветитьIan Paice comes from another planet
ОтветитьIn the " Mule Ian Paice performes 85 non-stop tremolos , unique in the history of master drum players, those who had the privilege of playing this song on drum only could understand...........
ОтветитьСоло на 5 минут- ух
ОтветитьFar out in the drum zone. That's where it took him that time.

ОтветитьSloppy
ОтветитьIm a 58 year old fart, seen them all, heard them all, little Ian is an absolute mad bastard
ОтветитьA man and his love affair with a drumkit.
ОтветитьThis is not the best version because of the drum solo (Paicey does very well on the three Made in Japan versions too) but because of Roger Glover, who is not audible and does a fantastic job here.
ОтветитьAmazing, All is Perfect. Drum Solo performed by Ian Paice .
ОтветитьThe drum beat reminds me of drum and bass.
