Why not make armor set ups for real new players. I recently met some total noobs. They have no access to this supposed noob gear. Why not gear from all three starting points and om not talking keaneraths roost or bleakrock. What gear they can get and how they can get it without joining a guild. Someguilds are not friendly. Some have rules, you farm the mates we can make it. But what to wear until then and how to get it. Also, you don't start off with any gold so purchasing from a guild store is out.

To any new players, join a big social guild early on. They’re almost guaranteed to have multiple master crafters that can help you make good crafted sets until you get yourself a crafting character.

Actually I've found Tzogvigs with Vicious Oph. 1 piece Slime Craw and Harpooners Kilt to melt mobs pretty nice....

Hey Deltia! Thank you for your incredible videos! You explain everything so thoroughly while still keeping it simple and easy to understand! I have a question. I'm a returning play an I have a set of twice born star from wayyy back in the day. Im rocking all divines with lover and thief. Is that viable for veteran maelstrom arena? I plan to replace it with tzogvin's but I want to do vet maelstrom while the event is still live!

If you're curious my other gear is 5 piece briar, slimecraw helm, pale order!

I would add to not sleep on bow/bow. It's not far behind in parses, and in a real fights it can match or exceed because it has the same advantage as magicka DPS being ranged and being able to continue to deal damage when mechanics don't allow melee. Many of the newer dungeons are very unfriendly to melee DPS. Also, bow/bow rotations can be pretty simple to execute.

I would say to anyone going with bow/bow to ignore the Long Shots passive and trying to be far away. Stay in front of your healer like you should be to get the buffs and heals. You can use the vate bow Point Blank to make up for it. Also, the Wading Kilt works great on bow/bow since you are at range.

I’m old player who really wants to get back in the game but struggles with pvp content as well as what to do in pve

I would like a pvp addition

A fun alternative I've found particularly effective in solo content is actually the combination of 2h front bar and DW back bar. Backbaring blade cloak provides a strong dot that compliments the more mobile gameplay of stamina, while also providing major evasion allowing them to take much less damage from AOEs. Using the blackrose prison DW on the backbar also allows you to take 6% less damage from all types, while increasing all of your damage done by 6%. Since normal blackrose prison is 4 man content it may be easier for new player to obtain the the DW, before getting the maelstrom bow.

The question informs my decision on what weapon to front bar is "what does my class bring to the table?" For classes that rely on executes and spammables from weapon lines (DK and Sorc) 2h will be the better option in most content. If your class doesn't need to rely on those(Templar and NB) DW will outperform in most scenarios.

If ur all medium, tsogvin and/or AY is a must. Briarheart with either one is ideal. Leviathan and tsogvin is also an amazing beginner build.

I'd be interested in your healer build ideas. I'm currently running SPC, Winter's Respite and Magma Incarnate.

Stampede is thee best ability in the game. 2800-3400 damge per tick AoE 10 sec DoT, guarantees a big crit (activate briarheart) and cleave will be the 3 stack bleed. I'd say everyone should use 2h. Way cheaper then DW and now with 2 piece light armor required, DW gets MORE expensive.

Not on subject, but could you please revisit a vampire build for current update? I have seen a few Necro vamp builds, but was wondering on your take for an updated vamp build.

For any newer players here in the comments I just wanna say these types of explanations and guides are always very helpful no matter how long you've been playing. One of my favorite parts of this game is that everyone is always learning something and even more eager to share it with each other.

Good stuff, definitely helps beginners out. I followed your ESO journey from way back, even playing SWTOR myself and watching you a little back then. ESO is such an overwhelming game for people starting out these days. I played for years and took a bit of a break myself much like you and recently picked it up again and trying to get a friend to start playing and this is the type of content I point him too. Great job Deltia, good to see you back and doing well these days man, hope to have you around a long while.

Very nice content. Finally I‘m understanding what you’re talking about, coming from a Magplar PvE players standpoint, who is looking for his first alt as a Stamina DPS. Would really appreciate more like this in PvP and PvE…

With a DW/Bow build, I've really been liking Diamond's Victory as well. It's an easily crafted set that works well for beginner to mid game PvE.
