Improve Bermuda Grass Lawn Health and Thickness

Doc like I committed before I’m thrilled that you opened up the comments and thank you for the great videos it doesn’t get any better then this. I’ve been a subscriber for a while now.

You may have mentioned it in another video but what type of Bermuda do you have? I live in NC and thinking about making the transition because my Tall type fescue gets absolutely fried in the summer time. I know there’s literally hundreds of Bermuda blinds out there, I want the shortest and greenest one possible! I want to reel mow it :)

Starting out in a new home and want to get started on a lawn care route based on your advice. I was informed that the lawn planted is Bermuda and it has mixed in fescue according to gardener that seeded. I'm looking for a safe pre-emergent - wondering if there is a product you'd recommend?

How do i keep rabbits off my lawn? They kill it.

I live in North Texas, just laid some Bermuda sod in April. Its been alright but here lately Ive had some bare spots because some sod came with weeds and Ive killed them. My sod is little unleveled because I didnt use the roller thing (with water, forgot what its called) anyway, I cant seem to get it to stay healthy (thick and dense) and to stay green. Ive been watching your videos but it all still kinda confuses me. I am indeed a beginner so it gets a little frustrating. Any tips? I did order the liquid lawn fertilizer you suggested in one of your videos.

Next time you nuke your lawn, try Princess 77. Man, that stuff gets thick, and has fine blades. Seeds are expensive, but tiny and go a very long way. I used about 1/4 the recommended amount, and it was still jam packed with seedlings. If you are light on a few small spots, don't worry, the stolons fill in very quickly.

Okay so, my yard looks like your yard. Has a whole bunch of grass seeds from the Bermuda grass. It's straggly, looks like my yard has a bad hair day, besides fertilizing should I mow it or leave it?

Hey doc! We moved into our home in early March. Our yard was horrible. Lots of ground ivy and clover. I’ve finally gotten most of the weeds in very good control. My Bermuda has been doing great, as of recent. I’ve been keeping on a pretty good solid scheduled program. I’ve recently noticed a lot of St. Augustine popping up. It seems like it’s covered a bit of my front yard almost over night. Any suggestions on getting the St. Augustine out?

Why is it that doc never replied to anyone’s comments. Everyone else that I’ve ever asked or had a question about Bermuda has relied but doc on the other hand.

I am new to Bermuda grass. It is Feb here in NC and cold, 40's right now. The previous owner kept the lawn nice and kept it watered but did not scalp it in the Fall. The dormant grass is very tall and thick...what should I do now?

I planted new Bermuda Tifway 419 sod in my back yard a week ago (brand new). I only have a 800sf yard. It is completely brown with a few new sprouts. I don't want to walk on it so mowing the brown dead overburden is out of the question. When would be the best time to mow for the first time? I appreciate your advice.

How do you remove Buffalo Grass in a Bermuda lawn?

I'm still not sure if have actual purslane in my newly seeded lawn. It's pail yellow and looks like jade to me. Its sprouting along with my new bermuda seed. Could it be coming from the soil? I used organic plus soil. Im in Ca.
