ОтветитьI have the Surface Pro 8 and it has only one button for the backlight (F1). The only thing is that it doesn't seem to work, I've tested the button with a keycode generator and it does seem to give a response which means the button itself is working but isn't lighting up the keys on my type cover. Can someone please help me?

ОтветитьHi guys!
for 2020 pro keyboards just using the F7 for keyboard backlight.
F1 and F2 are just for desktop brightness.
Cheers
lolll thats me hahahhaha i needed this thanks lollll
ОтветитьThank you!!
ОтветитьHow to make keyboards light stay longer then 15 seconds?
ОтветитьThanks for the tip, but it's the F7 key on the 2020 keyboard (minus the Fn lock). F1 and F2 control the screen brightness.
ОтветитьOMG, thankyou for the note underneath that said, these instructions apply to surface pro 4 ad prior, Newer models use F7 key ***. NOW it works thankyou :))
ОтветитьThanks mate! I have a Surface Book (2017) and struggled a bit with figuring out what to do with the backlit. Most guides point at F7 as a cycle button, and for the few pointing at F1/F2 it didn't work for me. For some reason, depending on where the cursor is, I have to press Fn button, release and then press either F1 or F2 to manipulate back light intensivity - or go straight for F1/F2.
