Haven’t seen this since my senior year of highschool 12 years ago. Life certainly got tough so I’m back here going back to my roots. Almost 30 and staying and getting back in shape while raising a family and working 70+ hours a week is no easy task. 12 years ago I wanted to be where I am now financially however now I want to be where I was 12 years ago physically. Man time flies by!

I first watched this video because I was losing my motivation, my drive, to do nothing. So, this inspired me to continue doing nothing. I am, still, succeeding in my quest for sloth.

2023 has been a year of bad memories for me, I’ve done a lot of self learning and re-evaluating. I’ve experienced mental pain like I never experienced before, I’m stronger emotionally mentally and Physically. I have the heart of a lion & the mind of a soldier. Place those words upon my grave once I pass. That’s all I want from this world.

No matter where you currently are in life, at what stage, remember to love yourself, take care of yourself. Both mentally and physically, absolutely take time out for yourself and be selfish, humble yourself too, push yourself in better ways, in order to change your life you need to look at yourself in the mirror and be honest as to why your life is bad. And then build yourself back up. Press reset on where your life is mentally, never stop and let your mind hold you back. Look after your mental health.

Please…don’t ever remove this video. Much like everyone else here, I have this video to always remember the grind. There is serenity and peace in the grind, much like how this video was portrayed.

This is crazy. I stumbled upon this video randomly, I used to watch it back in 2012 when I was a fat kid, being bullied in high school, no friends and low grades. This was my daily motivation for my pre-school 5AM runs nearby the sea. I dreamt about losing weight and being better one day. 12 years later, I am a natural bodybuilder, went from being a nobody to the most popular kid in school, graduated in a foreing university and live in Switzerland, having a super well paid job. It is wild how true the lyrics of this video are. Keep grinding boys - one day, we are all gonna make it.

I remember playing this on repeat when I was 19. Moved back in with my mom no job and down on my luck. Got in the best shape of my life, got a good job, got a great girl. Now I’m 30 and I’m the heaviest I’ve ever been. On my 4th straight day going to the gym trying to get my get back. Going back to the roots, thank you for this video. Love this video

This track is great as general motivation, the way that the right song can help push you forward, but as straightforward advice it's pretty terrible, a road map to misery for the kind of people who see "Whiplash" as inspirational. Just at a basic level, the people who train the best will tell you how important high-quality sleep is as part of the regimen. What you need to trim down is maybe the random phone scrolling, not the sleep.

"Motvation" is the biggest lie and scam in order to succeed. Sucess in the long run comes from discipline, not motivation. Because some days we don't feel motivate, and it's normal. But if we keep working, keep going, even when we don't feel motivated, that's when sucess comes.

I remember watching this video almost 10 years ago, I was lost, a struggling artist trying to get by and start a career, things were not promising at all, I was getting only bad jobs or even unpaid jobs at the time. I remember contemplating quit all the time, but this video was one of the things that stuck in my mind since then, the sentece "don't cry to quit, cry to keep going" it's something that I will never forget.
Right now I'm almost with a 15 years career in art, nowadays living the dream of working as a concept artist for video games, I can afford a house, a brand new car and I have a really good relationship with my now girlfriend and probably future wife, this all came while having faith that my art could be a way of living.
I came here today because my dog is dying of cancer and I'm really struggling to do anything at this moment, I'm feeling like I'm falling apart.
But I came here to remember who I am and what I did until here, what I have overcome and how I achieved some of my wildest dreams, things that I would not even dare imagine 10 years ago.
I came here to remember to enjoy this last moments with my dog, that cry is an option, but not quitting, life is hard but it is totally worth it, even when things get dark there's always a light that never goes off.
