Introduction to FabFilter Volcano 3

Mate I love these videos! Absolute class in production, skill and presentation! I just bought the creative app bundle on iOS and I’m excited about taking my music production to the next level!

Would it be possible to have z-plane filter presets in fab filter 3, not exactly to replicate e-mu’s samplers since it’s a lot of ADAC’s involve on those units but to mangle sound in that way?

This makes me want to see what a masterful, creative mix engineer like Dan would do if I gave him my compositions with clean stems. Jesus. He really brings a ton of respect to the art of audio engineering--not even in the same universe as 'just add some juice and EQ like any radio hit' kind of engineer.

This is such an underrated plug-in ! I use the tube setting a lot for a filter sweep and a trance gate which is nice as well

I think I just learned about 15 ways to use a creative filter plug-in that I never thought of before. Fantastic sounding plug and outstanding tutorial. Mind blown.

I can only imagine what Twin 3 will be like after this madness.

The match beteween linear und nonlinear types looks great, but when you compare exactly those same settings in plugin-dr. it shows a highly different emphasis in loudness arround this curves. I quess thats the reason why fabfilter didnt show us any numerical scales. In fact the "hollow-setting" is just a few db louder. So I dount know if thats the "specal magic souce"?

Many thanks for another exceptional walk thru from Dan. Wow! what useful plugin for any production. I thought Pro Q 3 was the be all and end all. Seems I'll have to add Volcano 3 to my collection. A brilliant addition to the Fab filter line up.

I used to take an instance of serum for that matter, never tried it with white noise but rather a sine wave. BUT... great video, I'll definitely try that one out.
