Hide & Encrypt Your Secret Files With VeraCrypt

I wonder if you can create volumes multiple layers deep. What I mean is for example, inside of a hidden encrypted volume make another one and then inside of that one make another. Oh it will be a real pain to access going many layers deep like that, but pretty secure I bet.

if the size of the outer volume is 50 mb including the 10 of the hidden volume how come when you mount the outer volume in "protect hidden volume mode" the size is still 50 ?
what happens if I create a file with size of say 45 mb ? how can it be stored without overriding the hidden volume because the size of the outer volume (not including the hidden) is just 40.
can someone explain to me?
