Why need to move to value chain in BPO if there's need for IT/ back office support and you have billion of people that need jobs.

BPO is better than manufacturing industry. BPO is an industry that employs millions and the salary is higher than manufacturing. Competition in BPO is not a lot unlike manufacturing wherein there are a lot of low cost countries are aiming for.

a part which i disagree is lack of skill development. Mfg theme will only humans work as back office with any reasoning capabilities built to leverage the educational population strength. We equally need to focus on the services sector to add more value through innovations, design and new technologies to emerge within country. A skilled individual has high potential to draw business to india proportionally employing more workforce to carry such activities than a fixed set of workers in mfg theme. Mfg is more of a commodity where as services is more of innovations of skilled work. We need both and not ignore emphasis on skill development. We just dont need just robots who work in factories but also manpower who bring value to rest of the world.

I think we should not copy mass manufactuing and exploitation like China., where democracy dont have a role. Instead, do a different route for geowth, which current leadership is focusing. 🎉.
