for those wondering, activating dev mode is completely legal and safe, you will not get banned or ruin your console. just be sure to follow official guides carefully, each emulator will have guides on their websites. the xbox original emulator is called xemu and from what i gather it currently does not work on the series x/s because xemu uses the opengl api while the series x/s only supports the directx api. switching between dev and retail mode is quick and safe, you can freely switch back and forth while all your retail games, data and emulators remain completely intact.

Piracy lol these companies sell us half finished products and promote gambling in 75 % of titles these days so if i want to play super smash brothers for free im going to do that!

I recently did this. Took about a week to set up all the different emulations, settings, and games from the nes up to the wii u. For the 20 dollars it's definitely worth it however if you're a novice like me when it comes to emulation then expect to spend lots of time doing research and having to fix things. It takes a lot of work but it's worth it if you or your children want to experience their childhood again (forgot to mention but you definitely want an ssd with atleast 500gb and a windows laptop or pc to set everything up including controller Presets and other things.)

Played Metal Gear Online 1 through my Series S yesterday. Played NFL Blitz for Dreamcast, Mario Party 7 for Gamecube, Crash Bash for PS1 last week for family game night. I have PPSSPP set up for 3 player local multiplayer with my tablet and my phone for stuff like Peace Walker, Crazy Taxi, Burnout, outrun, GTI Club, so everyone has a screen. I absolutely love this thing.
