Premiere Pro CC : How to Edit 4k Footage by Fixing Lag (Proxy Tutorial)

For me it did not help. After switching to proxies Premiere almost crashed. I think there's something wrong with my setup.
My PC surpasses the recommended requirements.

I tried many different ways but they didn't work. This is the only way it worked though, it's a long tedious process just to have a smooth playback....

OK... I was about to go buy a new computer. I lost hope. I followed another video before I saw this one. How to do proxies. But, it failed to mention you have to TOGGLE! So It was still choppy after I told it do make proxies. so I was confused, hurt was disappointing I almost gave up. But I searched again and found your video!
