That blue! Stunning colour.
ОтветитьAnother dream car🤞
ОтветитьThe last and at the same time the best sports car we have ever seen and sadly will see. Hooray for the GT department of Porsche for this jewel!
Ответитьbest reviewer cheers
Ответить"there willnever be anything like it" - and now comes Spyder RS
ОтветитьThe internal combustion engine well on and the globalist will be set aside.
ОтветитьAnyone else here after Sutcliffe slagged this car off on the Intercooler?
Ответитьbest reviewer
ОтветитьHe hasn't driven enough cars. Any true enthusiast would never pick a non-manual car as the best car they've ever driven. You're being hypnotized by the 9k harmony.
ОтветитьOne question I had is with regards to the carbon airbox that comes with the W. Pack : the question is whether it does change the induction noise, i.e. is the induction noise different with the W. Pack because of the carbon airbox ?
ОтветитьI don't remember how many times I've watched this video...
ОтветитьTen BHP less? That's disgraceful, I'm going to have to pass.
ОтветитьPorsche is going to abandon ICE caymans the same way Aston abandoned the V12 vantage....that is to say, they won't. At least not anytime soon. Less than 1 year of abysmal sales numbers and they will be back to making "special edition 6c variants," that will be impossible to purchase due to allocation slots and other contrived, Ferrari-esque purchase pageantry. It's a shame really, because artificially limiting supply is mostly creating downmarket incentives - profits that tend to benefit resellers far more than dealerships. Moreover, all this talk about EVs ignores that the Cayman is primarily an enthusiasts' car and I've yet to run with any EVs on track. Porsche is going to have to stop straddling line of trying to please the unreasonably-strict EU/California standards as well as trying to appeal to a customer base who actually buys cars like these, because this posturing is not slated to pay off over the next few years.
Don't get me wrong, I love my modified 981, and I'll happily keep it forever unless Porsche continues engineering cars that push the limits of track performance while being some of the most livable and reliable models on the road. EV's have their place. The track is not one of them.
Bro, I haven't seen this guy since 2003 when Pizzonia almost killed them both in that Jaguar.
ОтветитьSteve Sutcliffe, is without a doubt, my all time favorite automotive journalist. Thanks for all of the awesome video reviews, Steve. Cheers.
ОтветитьAs far as this vs it's bigger brother? Simply put is about 17 seconds or so on the ring in favor of the GT3RS. However, for the money? It's 2 seconds past a 7 minute ring time which is still impressive as hell!
There is one thing I've noticed about this car as its appeared online vs in person. I've seen the base model in person. It's somewhere between the size of a miata and a kompressor. 7 minutes and change? That size? 🥴 with that said it looks like a 911 on camera. In person? It's like a miniaturized body of that car. So the imagery on media doesn't do it justice.
They really went all out with this and whoever approved this is a legend !! What a way to end the internal combustion engine cayman
ОтветитьI have a GTS being delivered this week. I hope they accidentally shoved this engine and air box in my car. 😝
Ответить🔥🔥🔥🔥
ОтветитьI guess you just need to drive a LaFerrari now
ОтветитьDude you're killing me. I'm in love with this car
ОтветитьEpic video 👍
ОтветитьOne day i will get me one - and that’s a promise 🫵
Ответитьsorry i need to pick my jaw off the floor. That sounded Effing awesome.
ОтветитьI think Porsche always had it in the back if their mind that a ground-up mid engined new design like the Cayman might actually be better than their flagship 911's, even though Porsche had engineered a flawed rear engined car to an amazingly good degree, but this GT4RS might just be the car to take that title. Porsche dropped the six cylinder Cayman and Boxters and replaced them with turbo charged flat fours just to restore some clear water between the top of the range 911's and the Cayman/Boxters but had to re-introduce the six cylinder cars due to the lack of demand for the four cylinder machines.
Ответитьsuperb review
ОтветитьThere is absolutely no argument whatsoever within the motor journalist branch! They are blown away. Even Clarkson has to give in.
So, whom do I need to shoot? Or is there an oligarch or philanthropist, as we call those buggers in the West, which buys me the car together with insurance, fees and a petrol card without a limit?
I dreamt of having a GT4 since the introduction of the 981. Last year it finally became real (mindblowing - and it still is). And although it was a MUST for it to have a manual gearbox I might be tempted if I ever get close to one of these! I would love to experience that soundtrack within the RS version! :-)
I guess you could learn to live with a computer controlled "gearbox"
And the v12 noise is better still…
ОтветитьThat dual nature reminds me of my F12…
ОтветитьSutcliffe is great. Horrible editing. Cutting all over the place.
ОтветитьBeautiful and sad at the same time, considering the next one will be electric... But what a car this one must be!
ОтветитьSuch a positive and epic review I have had to come back several times to view it again. I am in the queue for one of these, a queue that is made longer thanks to the Russians and a host of problems we never had before, and was worried that Porsche may have priced this way too high. Sounds great value to me now. Thanks Steve. Thanks Porsche.
Ответитьif you think 991R flipping was egregious (price, etc.), wait until the GT4 RS becomes available.
ОтветитьSteve, thank you for a most brilliant review and well done to Porsche for what seems to be an astounding car.
ОтветитьReally, a measly 330 ft-lbs is the best we can do?
ОтветитьSutcliffe is brilliant!
Ответитьthat blue one!!! OMFRIKING GOD! I love gt3s but this is just next to it
ОтветитьI have never understood the concept of understeer in a porsche. Just do a deliberate lift-off and it goes away. After that be fast at correcting. A mid engine is less forgiving at the edge though.
Ответитьis this car basically impossible to get I.E. only a few will get the allocations or is it a production car?
ОтветитьLoved it!
ОтветитьThis should be a better handling car then 911 GT3 RS. Since the same engine but installed in the center of the car then hanging on the tale.
And most likely it’s lighter to.
This car is a legend in the making. Mark my words.
ОтветитьI didn't drive this car, but i am sceptical.
Hype on top of hype on top of hype on top of porsche fanboyism
If only this car had the GT3 rear suspension setup...
ОтветитьYet I don't understand how the GT3 is 9 seconds faster around the NBR.
ОтветитьAs good as this car is a good driver in a lower spec one will always trump one of these driven by the posers who typically will own one!
ОтветитьIf you find this the best you have driven then try 992. Gt3🤗
