ОтветитьI love her paintings. Trying to absorb her vibe for my next painting this weekend, hopefully
ОтветитьIncredible work...brilliant sculptures as well !
Ответитьfascinating..thats true art..
ОтветитьI just picked up one of her books. It was great hearing her speak. Thanks!
ОтветитьThank you 🙂
ОтветитьI like some of her Work, but she should stop trying to explain it cos she talks rubbish. It seems feigned.
ОтветитьI like how soft and non-judgmental her explanations are.
ОтветитьHorrible artwork.
ОтветитьThank you, I had never heard of this artist...big important artist, Wow...does she know painting!
Ответитьvery cool paintings and a very cool woman making them
ОтветитьShe is good.
ОтветитьHer art is amazing and she doesn’t seem full of herself.
ОтветитьMy God, what a wasteful process. Can you imagine how many school districts could have sufficient materials for art class if all that paint was put to better use?
ОтветитьSo…….does she actually earn a living ……or…..is someone else …..supporting her…..as she ……disappears…..mentally? I’m not being sarcastic…..I am genuinely asking….
ОтветитьLegend
ОтветитьReally great work.
ОтветитьHer work gives me Frances Bacon vibes. Some of it looks similar on the surface but mainly it’s the feeling of them. They almost feel uncomfortable to look at but also make you curious to know more. She seems to have a story or a life for each one and it’s not always obvious. I like that. I like looking at artwork that seems to make no sense or not have an obvious story, it makes for interesting subjects, of a discussion for the ages. Sometimes we don’t need the reasoning or the background from the artist, we want to make up our own reasons and stories and argue our points, for years to come, on what the art is about. How wonderfully juicy that is for us, the viewer, the observer.
ОтветитьI like the sun one 😊❤
ОтветитьLot's to learn 😍😍😍😍.
ОтветитьGreat artist
But to me her work is like of Someone who is on some psychotropic drugs
She is in a Deeply Deeper Mind space..
That is exceptional
She is a Saintly person.
She doesn't know She has some exceptional powers ..
She has not exproled herself properly YET
She must visit India
Some of Dana's work, in my opinion, is the best art of today and has great historical significance.
ОтветитьDana Schutz you got paint on everything. I love your ocd neat work area. ❤❤
ОтветитьWe are painters not artists. Rembrandt's occupation was listed as a painter as were so many other painters back then.
ОтветитьIn her heart and her mind she had accepted the great contradiction of her body but it did strain any attempt she tried to make in gaining other woman as her friend so she sat alone silently to eat the mountain of pasta by herself
ОтветитьSecretly she thought they were trying to make her fat when she saw all the food. She wasn't angery , it proved they had never spies on her when she was dressing, if they had they would have known how very fat a tinny tall person could be.
ОтветитьThat is not art, looks like crap.
ОтветитьI own a painting looking for sale
ОтветитьAMAZING WORK
ОтветитьInteresting bit at the end about on and off.
ОтветитьLikable ,a real artist
ОтветитьVery nice artwork...artlife always i2f the artist...one love...blessings
Ответить❤
ОтветитьCan someone help me. What paint and materials was she mixing?
ОтветитьI like her and her art. Inspires me to go back and turn my art minor into major!
ОтветитьWe will never forget
Ответить“ Off and on “
ОтветитьI’m disappointed. I love the way she paints technically, as someone who is a painter in a similar style I wish I could be a fan and study her work.
But as a few others pointed out, she is incredibly out of touch to the point where I can’t ethically engage with her work. When starting the video I found the big painting behind her very off putting for a white woman to paint. After a quick refresher for myself on who she was it came back to me, the painting of Emmett Till. I had discussed in art school when it happened appalled me then and appalls me now. Once I put it together I felt unsettled and even a little nauseous. There are countless underrepresented artists that present new and fresh perspectives and insight, why are we clinging to these stale monoliths to tell us other peoples stories from their Brooklyn nepotistic high rise. I can’t wait for the next generation of artists and I hope they are given the chance to take up the space telling BIPOC stories from BIPOC perspectives so mediocre white artists stop jumping to take the spotlight.
Art Therapy!
ОтветитьWhats the liquid she mixed with her paints ?
ОтветитьI wonder if she is familiar with Dave Matthews Band song, "The Space Between Us".. seems to explore the same thoughts that she expressed..
