If people think they can actually get these cards at MSRP they are delusional.

I bought a 4080 for £1200 last April, and I'm a little miffed that the Super is going to be £200 less, but I have no regrets. The 4080 is still a monster at 4K, and I won't need to upgrade for quite some time (well, I probably will upgrade, but I won't need to 🤣)

4070 Ti would be in the gap at 699....

Kinda kicking myself for just having just built a PC with a 4070 Ti, but I have a feeling it will take a while to be able to obtain a 4070 Ti Super at MSRP anyways. Definitely want to make the jump up though for that extra VRAM

Yeah... I built my PC in August of '23.... Now seeing a faster 4080Super release on the horizon for cheaper is aggravating. Would be worse if I paid MSRP. Got lucky and found a huge flash deal and snagged it. Thought it was a scam. But I lucked out. I got an MSI gaming x trio for the same as the super MSRP. Can't be too terribly mad.

Yeah but the more important question, DID they continue the faulty 12vhpwr.

I really want to get an AMD card but the efficiency of nvidia with European energy prices just makes so much sense.

Thanks for the vid. I think these are good cards for someone who hasn't upgraded since before covid. I am running a 3070 FE and I think it holds its own at this point. I might not even need a 50 series.

It looks like a good deal but it's not, everybody has been conditioned through price anchoring.

Hybrid LLM games will eat the 16GB of vram without much effort so more is always better on a CUDA card. :)

I wouldn't mind a 4070 Super, but it's real tempting to consider the 4070 TI Super. Especially after I bought my wife a 4K Samsung Frame as her new monitor. Right now, her RTX 3060 is working hard to run games over 1440p, but she's mostly playing Diablo 3 from a mITX case that barely manages to air cool the Ryzen 5600x without ramping up the fans.

B and H allready leaked the prices for the super series and they are ridiculous no where nivdia claims.

1st up an ASUS RTX 4070 dual selling for $700 (a $100 price premium over the claimed $600)

2nd up an ASUS RTX 4070 TI Super TUF selling for $860 ( a $60 price premium over the claimed $800) (I guess this one is not as bad but still)

3rd up an ASUS RTX 4080 super TUF selling for the original price of the RTX 4080 which is $1,200 (This is a $200 price premium over the claimed $1,000)

And here is what is worse the ASUS RTx 4080 super Strix sells for the same price of the original RTX 4090 which is $1,600 (Making this a $600 premium over the claimed $1,000)

Yeah it looks like we are going to see price gouging again especially form ASUS.

Thanks for the info, Jay. Hope you get well. But, I do have to say that the GPU space is over done. The current crop of GPU's are beasts for their respective applications. There are no earth-shattering software/gaming advances coming anytime soon; so, do we need anymore GPU advancements in the foreseeable future? probably not. AMD and Nvidia will play the "up the memory" game with their current gpu and increasing mhz a few percent and call it a "super"....this sort of marketing schemes until real software advances dictate hardware changes. We are going to be in a GPU winter for a while. Don't the get me wrong, the current crop gpu's is more gpu than any normal gamer/user need by a mile! So be happy.

Still longing for the days of the entry level EVGA GTX 970 card for $350 and the 960 for $250.

The 40 series is a repeat of the 20 series

If they are comparing with frame generation, I would like all reviewers to compare with the modded fsr3 on the 30 series 🙏

Pull the trigger people, slap ya nuts on the table & get a 4090. Ive always cheaped out on cards, 10 series got a 1050ti followed by a a 1060 then 1080 when i should of just got the Ti in the first place , followed a similar path with 20 series, this gen got a 4070 but regretted it & picked up a 4090, never again.

4070 Ti Super is a confusing naming. It's more like 4080 LE since it's based on AD103.

I paid $650 for my 4070. $600 for 4070 Super sounds better! $999 for 4080 Super sounds like a decent value relatively speaking. 4090 is about 160% more performance for that much more money. But good luck finding a 4090 for less than $2k now. We will wait for reviews.

Hey Jay, long time viewer but don't mingle in the comments much, this 4070 Super or Ti Super seems like a good time to replace my entire rig around considering i'm still rocking a gtx 1070 and a ryzen 1700 with 16gb of ram. Built this in March of 2017... can't believe time has gone by so fast and also can't believe how well this rig has held up over time

Funny you get a big uplift from 30's to 40's but the price uplift was larger!
