this match (tuetonic knight vs centurion) was a fantasy question when i was a kid.. now watching it in a game is dream come true.. but feel sorry for tuetonic knight.. i had high expectations since Age of Kings

This is totally unrealistic. No one has a better and heavier armour than the teutonic knights. They were more vulnerable only on a specific small parts of their equipment where the armour wasn't covering their body well enough.

The Teutonic Knights look more like Centurions and the Centurion looks more like a regular soldier.

I love how the teutonic knights fight animation is also the Centurion is brutal i remember when i was like 10 years old and i had red player with the strongest centurion in the game (i dont remember much of the civs tbh) and me with yellow had the best legions but we still wouldn't win against red 2v1 😂 the battlefield was all blood skeletons and dead bodies

Tbh it makes sense for centurions to be super OP when using AoE II mechanics... the game originally had a population limit of 50 as opposed to 200 so you really had to make your units count.

The counterfeited "holy" """roman""" "empire" vs the real one.

Centurions even defeat elephants(not if big group vs big group) and highest upgraded "knights" who supposed to be anti inf,while costing MUCH less res.They also soak up melee dmg well for others.
However they are slow without any pierce armor upgrades,archers will melt them,with all 3 upgrades archers will kill them in 10 years with heavy micro.Siege counters them very well.Also good againts buildings even with their 80% non siege dmg resist they go down fast.
Basically very cost effective anti all melee.

Well maybe if they stopped sheathing their swords every time they stabbed him they wouldn't need three guys.
