I wonder how well the atx board could handle a R5 3600

Hi , thnx in advance for any help , I own the ryzen b350 mortar arctic with rev 2.1 written on mobo , my question is this , as I don't know the proper name for the problem please forgive in advance but while I was trying to secure my CPU cooler (the one that comes with the genome ii case) brackets I was using plyers to get extra grip but I barley scraped the board the part I'm asking/ questioning is there are 4 pieces soldered to the board near the bottom left side of the screw bracket for CPU cooler , if you are looking at the four pieces I scraped one of these the bottom right one of the four, there the pieces that are soldered on either side and black in the middle , well I scraped it enough to get to the middle some from top to midlle f your looking at it mounted in case so where I scraped it apparently looks gone so I apparently have about half of that soldered piece , what is this piece called and what's it for , will it hinder my build as I yet to fully start my build , thnx in advance for any help and before forget , the mobo still turns on , I tested it with a spare PSU just to make shure

I really need to know do these have a 12v RGB connector?

On the b350 tomahawk can I use my ryzen 5 2600

If you want to stress out the Vsoc, you need to stick an APU in it like the R5 2400G and overclock it. It powers the memory, usb, sata, audio, apu graphics, etc.

ok I have a MSI b350 tomahawk motherboard and I wanna make a computer just to use to stream with layout I have an elgato HD 60 and playing from my xbox one I don't wanna play any games on the pc just stream from what do I need I know a ryzen CPU but which one? do I need a gtx how new and how old can I go? what ram do I need size wise so I need a ssd or just harddrive what power supply I would need ??? I don't have a budget just what's just enough to do the job thanks for any help

Rear IO is different on the smaller board, I think - no VGA, but a full size DP.

The PCI-e slots are not useless. As they are disabled if you use a M2 SSD card. Which most will use. So why choke off a SATA Bus connection.

I have both of these, in the gray version, one is rocking a r7 1700 and the matx is rocking the r5 1600. great boards, both chips OCed to 4.0 GHz with Noctua NH-U12S SE-AM4 HSF

cant connect to the internet with this board ,lan socket is weird,my ethernet cable from my old pc doesn't fit.Doing my head in.What cable do I need.Inown a tecnicolor v3 modem.Nothing I could find on msis website or googling about the cable needed.

Hey OC3D how hot did your VRM get on the B350M? Mine is getting to 105°C with a 1700 at 4ghz and throttles and that's with 4 case fans. Not sure whatever I got a bad board or this is how it is with that shitty VRM cooler~_~ Also tried with my m8's 1600 at 3.8ghz and I was looking at 86°C- Now if this is normal I'll just go and grab a VRM waterblock if not I guess I'll RMA that thing^^

i bought 1600 ryzen Msi b350 artic tomahawk atx 16GB 3000mhz and gtx 1080ti really happy with this board for the money ram not hit 3000mhz yet its stable at 2993mhz

When you overclock a motherboard you are overclocking ram speed right?

One question. Is it reasonable to pair B350 with 1700-1800-1700-1800x?
Or will this chipset bottleneck these CPUs and I should just go for x370?
Is there a chance to OC the RAM to speed comparable to those on x370?
